Flourishing Branches

'Those who trust in their wealth will wither,
but the righteous will thrive like leafy trees.' Proverbs 11:28 (CEB)

Even though the wicked will rail against You, those that serve You shall thrive like flourishing branches. With the uncertainty of it all, it would be wise to consider wealth as being the main thing that leads so many hearts to stray from You. And the one that trusts in his own riches shall surely wither and his dry bones will fall. But the righteous they shall grow, and grow they shall in grace and beauty while bringing forth the fullness in fruit of good works.

The fruit of righteous living is their reward for being grafted into Christ, as the rest take root in the world and lose their power on the vine. The branch that abides in the tree remains alive and green and full of leaves. They that trust in the Lord shall be as trees of life to their families and in their communities. Like leafy trees, they shall branch out into all areas of life. In life they shall be as tall pillars of truth, with healthy roots established deep in the Word, influencing so many with their support and nourishing them as well with their output. Thriving with the promise of long life and giving humbly of themselves to the world a life of service. Let there be Peace. Bring forth Justice.
