Another Crack in the Clay

'If you only look at us, you might well miss the brightness. We carry this precious Message around in the unadorned clay pots of our ordinary lives. That’s to prevent anyone from confusing God’s incomparable power with us. As it is, there’s not much chance of that. You know for yourselves that we’re not much to look at. We’ve been surrounded and battered by troubles, but we’re not demoralized; we’re not sure what to do, but we know that God knows what to do; we’ve been spiritually terrorized, but God hasn’t left our side; we’ve been thrown down, but we haven’t broken. What they did to Jesus, they do to us—trial and torture, mockery and murder; what Jesus did among them, he does in us—he lives! Our lives are at constant risk for Jesus’ sake, which makes Jesus’ life all the more evident in us. While we’re going through the worst, you’re getting in on the best!' 2 Corinthians 4:7-12 (MSG)

Even when I fail You, Your love for me remains. Even when I look at all the troubles in the world, I know where my hope comes from. My hope is in the Lord. My hope lies within this unadorned clay pot. My hope that lies within me is the Treasure that I seek and that is You.

Jesus, You are the Hope in this world that I seek. It is Your excellence and power that is put on display when I shine Your Light by sharing Your precious Message. That Message is the Good News that Jesus saves. The Message of the Gospel is the rich and invaluable Truth that believers like me are called upon to share. Your Truth is the only answer to every problem that people are looking for. You, Lord, are the Treasure more valuable than any this world has to offer and it comes alive by knowing You as Savior.

You are The Way to a better life and of a life eternal. No one else offers that precious hope. So let the Light of the Holy Spirit shine brightly this day. Another crack in the clay so more of Your Light comes out through me. Let it have it's way and burn its way into the hearts of everyone everywhere. Let the whole earth be filled with The Glory of the Lord.

In Chapter three, the evil ideas of Haman, to have all the Jews exterminated, had been decreed by the king, and the money set aside in an account for the diabolical deeds and the date was set on the calendar for the bloodshed! That part is so incredible, that one man was given that much power. Just imagine it if you were a Jew. The date for the destruction of your entire race was set and the preparations to follow through with it were being made. Thankfully, our God is greater. Our God is able.
