My Father is Greater Than All

'The Lord your God is in your midst,
    a mighty one who will save;
he will rejoice over you with gladness;
    he will quiet you by his love;
he will exult over you with loud singing.' 
Zephaniah 3:17 (ESV)

 What has Jesus done for me? He saved my soul! Not just mine, but He has saved the entire world, and paid the sin debt, past, present and future. It is finished. He defeated death. He paid the price for us all. His work of redemption is complete and yet not all will call Him Lord or be His Bride.

God is well pleased with His Son. God has given Jesus His Church, and He couldn't be happier with those whom He has called His own. He is mighty. He is in the midst of them all, rejoicing, quieting and exulting over those He loves with loud singing.

Lessons from the Bible can reassure us of God's love for us and they show us that His ways are good and so much higher than our own. How powerful. In Chapter three, the evil ideas of Haman, to have all the Jews exterminated, had been decreed by the king, and the money set aside in an account for the diabolical deeds and the date was set on the calendar for the bloodshed! That part is so incredible, that one man was given that much power. Just imagine it if you were a Jew. The date for the destruction of your entire race was set and the preparations to follow through with it were being made. Thankfully, our God is greater. Our God is able.
