Underexposed and Under Attack

'And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but even reprove them rather. For it is shame even to speak of the things which are done of them in secret. But all things when they are reproved of the light, are manifest: for it is light that maketh all things manifest.' Ephesians 5:11-13 (GNV)

The unfruitful works of darkness, such as those acts that are shameful and remorse producing, we are to have nothing to do with. No fellowship. But wait, it is not a passive attitude that we are to take, as in other areas of life, but this requires more aggressive behavior on our part when we see it. We are to expose those works of darkness that bring down the wrath of God. We are to lift up a testimony to shine the light on those evil deeds. For it is the Light of Christ that exposes and brings things out in the open to be cleansed and dealt with. We are to be that light.

Sin leads to destruction. Sin needs to be exposed! Sin needs to be dealt with. Jesus restores. Jesus exposes. Jesus saves. Victory is in Jesus.

The biggest problem in the world today is the Church. Her members are under attack. The Church is not letting the Light of Christ shine because of her own darkness and hidden sins. She has lost her way. She has turned away from the Love of Christ and the power of the Holy Spirit. All things in the dark are to be exposed to the Light and made visible.

The Light of Christ is burning but it is at a distance and is so dim that it is about to go out. We are being deceived and enticed by the very darkness we are to be exposing. We are not to fellowship with the works of darkness! What are we thinking? We are not dead yet. We would be wise to wake up to our responsibilities and address a world that has gone mad and is in desperate need of a Word from Jesus.

The Light of Christ brings joy unspeakable forever. Christ restores our health and He satisfies our soul. When He is Lord and Savior, His Love brings forth the good fruit of the Spirit which is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.

Dear Father. Wake us up. Give us a Word for the world. Jesus saves. Thank You for the light of Jesus. Thank you for exposing our sins. Forgive us for our lack of care and concern for our brothers and sisters lost in the dark. Let Your light shine through us again. We are ashamed of what we have seen and heard. We are sick of seeing people's lives ruined by sin. The enemy is out for death and destruction. We pray for the life and soul of this great nation and for the world. Restore what the enemy has stolen. Let us be an example of Your Love for the world. Heal our land. Bring us back to You. In Jesus's name. Amen.
