Sending Out Invitations to the Concert

'We are confident that God is able to orchestrate everything to work toward something good and beautiful when we love Him and accept His invitation to live according to His plan. ' Romans 8:28 (VOICE)

One example of God's love can be seen in the book of Esther. Lessons from the Bible can reassure us of God's love for us and they show us that His ways are good and so much higher than our own. How powerful.

In Chapter three, the evil ideas of Haman, to have all the Jews exterminated, had been decreed by the king, and the money set aside in an account for the diabolical deeds and the date was set on the calendar for the bloodshed! That part is so incredible, that one man was given that much power. Just imagine it if you were a Jew. The date for the destruction of your entire race was set and the preparations to follow through with it were being made.

Thankfully, our God is greater. Our God is able. He is able to confuse the bad plans of men in power. Our God knew the evil in the heart of a man who's jealousy and rage lead to his desire to kill an entire nation. Because of Haman's pride, and the fact that Esther's uncle refused to bow down to him, many were about to be sacrificed. Even when the situation seemed hopeless, our God brings hope. In extraordinary fashion, our God used an insignificant servant girl, having nothing more than beauty, to confound the evil plans and to orchestrate everything for the good.

Esther's beauty was on display. She was chosen. She had the invitation. She was obedient and loved the Lord. God took the one and sacrificed her for the good of many. Don't you see, her service was a sacrifice. Her sacrifice was of the extreme variety. She had to give up her plans and dreams for the future and her entire way of life when she was chosen to live in the king's harem. Not knowing what her circumstances in life would bring, she remained humble and faithful. Though she did not understand the plan, she still chose to live according to God's will and she became the Queen of Persia. The decree was reversed. Her sacrifice saved all the men, women and children of her nation.

If God can make something good and beautiful out of a situation as bad as that, then He can make something good and beautiful out of yours and mine as well. I may not be called to save my nation but I can live according to His will. I can serve Him and obey Him. I can seek Him and take my part in His orchestra for good. I can send out invitations and invite people I know to the concert. I can take up my instrument and do everything I can to make sure that it is cared for properly, without complaining. I can make sure that my instrument is in tune, and to try and help those along side of me play in tune as well. I can present myself in a graceful way and play my instrument so that it is in harmony with the rest of the musicians and pleasing to Him. I can make sure that we all have a copy of the same music and that we are all on the same page. With His help, I can make something beautiful out of what He has given me. He takes my ashes and makes something good and beautiful out of me.
