Give Me Jesus

'My choice is you, God, first and only. And now I find I’m your choice! You set me up with a house and yard. And then you made me your heir!

The wise counsel God gives when I’m awake is confirmed by my sleeping heart. Day and night I’ll stick with God; I’ve got a good thing going and I’m not letting go.

I’m happy from the inside out, and from the outside in, I’m firmly formed. You canceled my ticket to hell— that’s not my destination!

Give me Jesus. When I choose You and put you first, then You chose me and made me Your first choice! You are all I need. You never withhold a thing. All of my needs are met by Your love and Your favor. Nothing is lacking. You are my beautiful inheritance!

Your Words of wisdom never fail me. My sleep is not interrupted by worry or fear or regrets. My conscience is clear and it's all because I know You. Knowing You brings fullness of joy, inside and out. My cup if running over. I have more than I need.

Out of the darkness, from the muck and the mire you rescued me and bought my tickets to Your eternal city of gold. Now my destination is heaven bound. My earthly sorrows are but few and soon shall end in heavenly joy. Give me Jesus.

In Chapter three, the evil ideas of Haman, to have all the Jews exterminated, had been decreed by the king, and the money set aside in an account for the diabolical deeds and the date was set on the calendar for the bloodshed! That part is so incredible, that one man was given that much power. Just imagine it if you were a Jew. The date for the destruction of your entire race was set and the preparations to follow through with it were being made. Thankfully, our God is greater. Our God is able.
