Sound Mind. Sober Spirit.

'The end of all things is at hand; therefore keep sane and sober for your prayers. Above all hold unfailing your love for one another, since love covers a multitude of sins. Practice hospitality ungrudgingly to one another. As each has received a gift, employ it for one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace: whoever speaks, as one who utters oracles of God; whoever renders service, as one who renders it by the strength which God supplies; in order that in everything God may be glorified through Jesus Christ. To him belong glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.' 1 Peter 4:7-11(RSV)

Major changes are ahead and you know that is true. How can we know the future? We can't. We can only know that the things around us are always changing. Nothing remains the same forever.

How can we be prepared for what lies ahead? Only by the grace of God go I and thus we pray. It is why we fight our important battles on our knees. It is why we accept our assignments.

We pray and we accept our assignments. It is why we remain sane. A General has to study the enemy and be able to make his war plans based on focus and strategic knowledge of the tactics. A good General fights to win. He doesn't have time for distractions. He isn't a lazy warrior, looking for ways out. He doesn't look to avoid the conflict. No. He is ready to face the day head on. Prayed up, armor on, fearless.

We remain sane because the lawless one doesn't fight fair. Sickness. God wants you well. Fight for it. Addictions and ideologies. God wants you clean. Fight for it. Sin. God wants you free. Fight for it. It is a life and death matter. There is too much to lose. There is too much at stake. The enemy comes but to steal, kill and destroy. Jesus came that we might have life and have it more abundantly. We may be the only line of defense between our family and the enemy. Keep your focus. That's where our strength lies, in the Lord. He is a mighty warrior. He loves us and has equipped us with the gifts we need. We need to employ.

We pray and we accept our assignments. It is why we remain sober. Would Jesus kiss his drunk bride? Stay calm. Stay steady. Keep your peace. Don't let the enemy steal your joy. Jesus loves His bride. She is so beautiful to Him. He will take care of her. Stay drunk and stay in bed or remain sober and rise to meet your bridegroom! The King! I see it and I believe it. The Church is waking up. Awake to the truth and finding her power and her voice in Him again. To God be the Glory!
