Building the Case for Christ -Prophesy #16
'I am poured out like water, and all my bones are out of joint. My heart has turned to wax; it has melted within me.
My mouth is dried up like a potsherd, and my tongue sticks to the roof of my mouth; you lay me in the dust of death.
Dogs surround me, a pack of villains encircles me; they pierce my hands and my feet.
All my bones are on display; people stare and gloat over me.'
Psalm 22:14-17(NIV)
This prophecy was fulfilled 520 years later when Luke documented that Jesus the Messiah died in a brutal way and that his hands and feet were pierced.
'Two other men, both criminals, were also led out with him to be executed. When they came to the place called the Skull, they crucified him there, along with the criminals—one on his right, the other on his left.' Luke 23:32-33 (NIV)
