Open House, This Sunday.

'One day when large groups of people were walking along with him, Jesus turned and told them, “Anyone who comes to me but refuses to let go of father, mother, spouse, children, brothers, sisters—yes, even one’s own self!—can’t be my disciple. Anyone who won’t shoulder his own cross and follow behind me can’t be my disciple.

“Is there anyone here who, planning to build a new house, doesn’t first sit down and figure the cost so you’ll know if you can complete it? If you only get the foundation laid and then run out of money, you’re going to look pretty foolish. Everyone passing by will poke fun at you: ‘He started something he couldn’t finish.’ Luke 14:25-30 (MSG)

God's Glory is in the presence of His Holy Spirit. If you are looking for the Glory you should run hard after it but with the full knowledge that it is going to cost you something. It is going to cost you everything. His Truth will disrupt everything. You should be ready. You should seek it with everything that you've got but know that once you enter in there is no going back. Who knew you would not be able to control it? Who knew you would not be able to ignore it? Who knew the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit was all consuming? God is returning to His Church!

When God is welcomed back into His House praise and worship is restored. The power is turned back on. You just can't imagine what you have been missing. Be ready. Be warned. Be aware. His Glory is untamed and unstoppable. It destroys your well thought out plans and agendas. It changes up the service orders and song lists. It frustrates and exposes the weak. It confounds and renders powerless the controlling. It disrupts the music. It disrupts the preaching. It is powerful and it is nothing to be taken lightly. God is returning to His Church and He is powerful and demands our respect.

His Glory is all powerful. It come smashing into a room like a tidal wave and takes with it all the snares and traps that were laid by men. All safety nets and fishing lines of communication that have kept us connected and comfortably secure for so long in the past are gone. At times all you can do is yield to it. It will change you if you let it.

His Glory explodes like a bomb of Holy Ghost Truth all around as all of our old ways of doing thing that are in its revolutionary path are sacrificed to it. It brings revival. Sacred things like old altars and monuments we've built to past moves are removed to make room for the new thing. It is dangerously delicious. The dreams of our fathers are replaced by the visions of our sons. It brings in a revolution of change that takes no prisoners and invades every corner and every heart. Dividing the bones and the marrow. Those who survive have nothing left but to wave the white flag of surrender. Are you ready? Are you willing to pay the price?

His Glory at times removes the 'sweet, sweet spirit in this place', and replaces it with the undomesticated and the rowdy 'wild thing'. Our buildings have become overcrowded. We can never keep the bathrooms clean. Children are running around lose everywhere. Criticisms meet us in every corner. Our neighbors are all moving out and have disowned us. Yep. That's what it's beginning to look and sound like to me around here. Fear not! Isn't it glorious? The disruptive move of the Spirit. The exciting atmosphere of God moving back in. It's gonna cost you and if you are prepared you are going to Love it! Love will be in every minute. Every hour. Every day. He loves the rich. Poor. Young. Old. You won't be able to stay away from it. You will think of nothing else. You will be consumed by it. You will be energized by it. You will never want to leave His presence or go back to the old ways of doing Church again! Welcome Home!
