Building the Case for Christ -Prophesy #18

'They divide My garments among them, and for My clothing they cast lots.' Psalm 22:18 (NKJV)

This prophecy was fulfilled 520 years later when Matthew documented that Jesus the Messiah's garments would be divided among the Roman soldiers by the casting of lots.

'Then they crucified Him, and divided His garments, casting lots, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet:

“They divided My garments among them, and for My clothing they cast lots.”

Sitting down, they kept watch over Him there.' Matthew 27:35-36 (NKJV)

In Chapter three, the evil ideas of Haman, to have all the Jews exterminated, had been decreed by the king, and the money set aside in an account for the diabolical deeds and the date was set on the calendar for the bloodshed! That part is so incredible, that one man was given that much power. Just imagine it if you were a Jew. The date for the destruction of your entire race was set and the preparations to follow through with it were being made. Thankfully, our God is greater. Our God is able.
