The Living Sacrifice

'Like a parent feels compassion for their children— that’s how the Lord feels compassion for those who honor him. Because God knows how we’re made, God remembers we’re just dust.

The days of a human life are like grass: they bloom like a wildflower; but when the wind blows through it, it’s gone; even the ground where it stood doesn’t remember it.

But the Lord’s faithful love is from forever ago to forever from now for those who honor him. And God’s righteousness reaches to the grandchildren of those who keep his covenant and remember to keep his commands.' Psalm 108:13-18 (CEB)

'Christ is the goal of the Law, which leads to righteousness for all who have faith in God.' Romans 10:4 (CEB)

God's "righteousness" is His everlasting justice, and He gives to each of us the reward of righteousness and faith. Because of His mercy and His grace He desires that none shall perish but that all should be saved and come to the full knowledge of truth through His Son Christ Jesus. Jesus is Love. We honor Him as a living sacrifice with our temples, our bodies, our mouth and with the way we live.

The Love that He has for us is from above and available and is everlasting to everlasting and is there to include even our sons and daughters, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. His gift of salvation is there and available to all through generation to generation for in His mercy there is no end. He sets all things right for us and through Him one comes to believe and have their being and live according to His commands.

God remembers us and has compassion on all He has made. He cares for us. He gives us a purpose and a life full of promise and meaning. He lives. There is no greater Love than this, that one lays down His live for His friends. Because He loves us and He is faithful we honor Him with our worship and offer the living sacrifice of our own lives of service to Him which leads to the greatest peace the world has ever known.

Think Jesus. Think faith. Think forgiveness. Think freedom. Think forever. Thank Him!
