Thoughts to Words to Action
'He said therefore, A certain nobleman went into a far country to receive for himself a kingdom, and to return.
And he called his ten servants, and delivered them ten pounds, and said unto them, Occupy till I come.' Luke 19:12-13 (KJV)
What am I doing with this verse in my life at this time? Isn't this my call or command? Jesus says he will supply all my needs. I am merely to build and expand His Kingdom using those resources and talents He has given me while He is gone. This past year He has supplied all my needs and given me a Word in the early morning hours. Now may be the time for me to take the Word and turn it into action just like He did!
To occupy is an interesting choice of words. The word occupy means to reside or have one's place of business in. To occupy means to take control of a place, especially a country. Synonyms are: capture, seize, take possession of, conquer, invade, overrun, take over, colonize, garrison, annex, dominate, subjugate, hold, commandeer, requisition,
This country has eighty million Christians that claim to be evangelicals. With that many people on our side, we could turn the Word into action together. Just like life bursting out of death, we could burst out of our churches and 'take over' a place and make it our own. We could build and expand what we are already doing. Just by using the resources and the armor He has given us we could become Kingdom builders. We could turn our small groups into a garrison of warriors and take back some of the territory that the enemy has taken from us. We could dominate and set the world on fire for Jesus again!
Couldn't you just see it? Our houses of prayer becoming the believer's central command centers for the army of God. Those centers would only be the beginning of the buildings in the community that we would annex; businesses, hospitals, schools and homes would soon catch the vision and want to be a part of the plan.
The power is in the unity. We must unite and push back if we want to win the war for our children. The war is for morality and freedom. The King is calling us out. We must decide who's side we are on. The enemy's side, or one of those God of the Bible haters, those Marxist social engineers that are working day and night to transform this country into immoral Babylon, or perhaps the side of freedom and the side of Love. God's side is the side of truth that will turn it all around again for the good and turn the light on to the present dangers that we face.
We must take a stand and push back against the enemy. Jesus and His message of hope can remove the darkness that is hidden in the hearts of those that refuse to believe but we have to do our part. No one gets to Him without the message being taught and we've refused to take it to them in our current sloppy and lazy state. We have to be willing to admit that what we are doing isn't working. We have to be willing to change our strategy before it is too late. We thought about it long enough. We've talked about it long enough. It's time to act. Church, we have got to wake up and rise up! There is a battle for hearts and souls that continues to rage on around us and who the enemy is after is so worth fighting for. Don't let them say we never even tried. I am trying and I am claiming this country!
