Be Filled

'Woe (judgment is coming) to him who builds a city with bloodshed and establishes a town by violence!

“Is it not indeed from the Lord of hosts that peoples labor [only] for the fire [that will destroy their work], and nations grow weary for nothing [that is, things which have no lasting value]?

“But [the time is coming when] the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea.' Habakkuk 2:12-14 (AMP)

When considering the five woes of the city of Babylon it is wise to remember the third. This is an eternal warning to those that build their cities through force, fraud and cruelty of the poor. Judgment day is coming to those that silence and oppress God's people and to those that follow their own evil ways that lead to ill gotten gains and ignore His Holy Will. Those that refuse to live under His laws and chose to live under the code of iniquity will soon enough live to see His people rise up and His justice prevail. Just as the waters cover the sea, the judgment which is coming to those that kill the innocence will be swift and it will be harsh.

The once great and powerful city and those that worked so hard to keep what they had, will fall. We've watch you take from those who did all the work. You never worked for anything that you had, your possessions were stolen and you lived in fear that the same would happen to you. We observed you while you were tempted and we watched you fail. We saw those greedy eyes that were on the prize worth more to you than your own soul. You never knew the true value of the least of what you had. You will never realized that the least were the ones that had it all. You never appreciated or understood us. We prayed for you.

We prayed for you, because you were a slave too, but the temptations and the pride of life were just too much for even you to overcome. Yes, we watched it all and even that which you spent your life worrying, fretting and working so hard for, rusted and molded and rotted away at the core, as if it were nothing. You strutted around and wore your trophies around your neck like you were some sort of royalty, but that yoke is what broke you. You broke your back working to preserve what you thought your heart desired, feeding the fire, and now you have absolutely nothing to show for it except a busted body a pile of ashes and a soul lost to your lusts. Oh, rise up out of the ashes, take up the cross before it is too late.

We tried to warn you. We tried to tell you. Our God will not be mocked. He will only tolerate so much. He will only give you so many chances. Your cheers and pink lights were the last straw. Maybe it is too late for you. You had your day, oh ye of little faith, and you blew it. Swiftly He comes to the rescue. He will pour out His wrath on those that oppose Him. This is the season for obedience. It is never too late to repent. God will restore His Kingdom and He will rescue His people. Soon enough, the whole earth will be silenced and filled with His never perishing Glory.
