Be Brave
'For, behold, the wicked bend the bow,
They make ready their arrow upon the string
To shoot in darkness at the upright in heart.
If the foundations are destroyed,
What can the righteous do?” Psalm 11:2-3 (NASB)
The question is real? When lawlessness breaks out in the land and the law of the land is upheld by a corrupt judge what are the righteous to do? Retreat or go to war? Get the picture in your mind. Darkness covering the land. The wicked behind the bow and the arrow upon the string. The bowman may be my neighbor. Aiming and intending to shoot his arrow right into my heart. Be brave. He is consumed with hatred, he is angry and thinks of nothing else but death. Death to those that he cannot understand. Death to the nation, that he so despises. God, the giver of Life has gone silent in these times, the spirit of death is hoovering over the land. It is 4 a.m. and I hear my battle cry. The time is now for spiritual warfare. The kind of non-violent fighting that involves empty jars, torches and trumpets. The battle that we win by showing up and shouting 'A sword for the Lord and for Gideon!'
It must be 4. It must be 4. It must be time to go to war.
Our torches are lit. The foundations of society are crumbling and we see who is behind it all. Those behind it are the ones that want to tear down our social order, for their own power, for their own fortune and for their own fame. Our foundations are those principles of truth that hold back tyranny. They strive to destroy the cultural foundation of the family and make Christian values a thing of the past. We humbly fall on our knees and repent for our nation that has lost its way. Bring us back to you Lord! Do it now, before it is too late.
God sees the oppressors and hates them. He is a righteous judge and will punish them for their evil deeds. We hear the call for repentance. We see His righteous judgment is at hand. What can the righteous do? Rather than run and hide for our own safety, we humbly pray for our country. Our trumpets are at our lips. We rise up in Love to take a stand for the family and for our Christian values. There is too much at stake to let evil win. God is still on the throne and our presence here may be the only thing holding back His wrath. Our duty may be to pray and then to stand and to push back against the demonic overreach. Our duty may be to shine a light on the darkness and to be salt to the world. Our duty may be to vote our conscience. Our duty may be to face the evil and to pray and take action to secure a better condition of things for our grandchildren. Be brave. It's time to smash some empty jars!
