Confessions of a Sick Person

'My brothers and sisters, above all, do not use an oath when you make a promise. Don’t use the name of heaven, earth, or anything else to prove what you say. When you mean yes, say only yes, and when you mean no, say only no so you will not be judged guilty.

Anyone who is having troubles should pray. Anyone who is happy should sing praises. Anyone who is sick should call the church’s elders. They should pray for and pour oil on the person in the name of the Lord. And the prayer that is said with faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will heal that person. And if the person has sinned, the sins will be forgiven. Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so God can heal you. When a believing person prays, great things happen. Elijah was a human being just like us. He prayed that it would not rain, and it did not rain on the land for three and a half years! Then Elijah prayed again, and the rain came down from the sky, and the land produced crops again.' James 5:12-18 (NCV)

Swearing is a sin and the one that does it is an enemy of God and will be held to account.

When afflicted, nothing we can do is more important than prayer. When troubled, pray to the Father. When happy, sing and praise His name. When sick, call the church elders.

Where two or more believers are present, there is the Lord, there is His Church and there is the Holy Spirit. That's a powerful force. We should pray and pour oil on the sick in the name of the Lord. When sickness comes we should search our hearts for unconfessed sin in our lives. We have an advocate with the Father. For, if we are sick and we confess our sins at that time and pray, then the Lord will hear us and heal us of our diseases and forgive us of our sins as well.

With faith comes believing and Holy Spirit power. With Holy Spirit power great things happen. A believing person working with Holy Spirit has power to even control the weather. Pray and it rains. Pray and the rains stop. Just exercise your faith in God's Will and watch the crops grow! Amazing.

Dear Father. Forgive me when I have failed You. I confess that I am sick and need Your healing touch. Thank you for Your Son Jesus and for Holy Spirit power. Thank You for prayer. Thank You for saving me. Thank You for forgiving me. Thank You for hearing me and for healing my disease. In Jesus name. Amen.
