Taking Authority! It's God's Command

'This is My command: be strong and courageous. Never be afraid or discouraged because I am your God, the Eternal One, and I will remain with you wherever you go.' Joshua 1:9 (VOICE)


 After Moses's death, God spoke directly to Joshua, that he was to lead his people, enter the promised land, divide it up and occupy it. He gave Joshua the exact same commission that He had given Moses. ' I have given You every place where the sole of your foot treads, just as I promised Moses.' With full faith and confidence that God would be with him and that He would never fail him or abandon him, Joshua, on authority of God, obeyed. 
Dear Father.
 We see your mighty hand at work everywhere. We believe that You are the same today and always. We believe You when you speak to the one and that You are no respecter of persons. You called us out of be leaders, to understand and to live by Your Law. You command strength and courage in us. When we are weak, You are strong. When we are afraid, You are courageous. We believe that what You say will come to pass, so there is really nothing on earth for us to be afraid of except You. Our own physical and mental weaknesses should not discourage us because You are our God. So we obey. 
You are eternal. You are El Shaddai. When we are in Your Will, You call us out and equip us with everything that we need. You remain faithful to Your calling until the end. Your love for us remains the same no matter what and You will never leave. We are encouraged by Your promises that are true and Your presence which is eternal. God we love You for who You are and what You do. Justice reigns. 
 
We pray for the just to win in this election. We pray for life. We love our country. 
 
In Jesus's mighty name. 
 
Amen.

Sending Out Invitations to the Concert

'We are confident that God is able to orchestrate everything to work toward something good and beautiful when we love Him and accept His invitation to live according to His plan. ' Romans 8:28 (VOICE) One example of God's love can be seen in the book of Esther. Lessons from the Bible can reassure us of God's love for us and they show us that His ways are good and so much higher than our own. How powerful. In Chapter three, the evil ideas of Haman, to have all the Jews exterminated, had been decreed by the king, and the money set aside in an account for the diabolical deeds and the date was set on the calendar for the bloodshed! That part is so incredible, that one man was given that much power. Just imagine it if you were a Jew. The date for the destruction of your entire race was set and the preparations to follow through with it were being made. Thankfully, our God is greater. Our God is able. He is able to confuse the bad plans of men in power. O
