Silver Spoon

'Look, in the mansions of the rich and powerful you will find everything from silver and gold serving bowls to wooden containers and clay jars; some are used for special occasions—where honor is important—others are used for more mundane tasks.  So tell them, if they will clean up their lives and purify themselves from dishonorable teachings that lead people astray, then they can become honorable vessels, consecrated and useful to the Master, made ready for every good work He has in store.' 2 Timothy 2:20-21 (VOICE)

Dear Father.
Thank you for Your Word. I can look at the church of Christ like a dwelling, all the furniture and other things for service and special occasions are in there. And in it are also found all the people, Your children Father, both the good and the bad. Some of those people are like gold and others like silver, just like the things that are valued and have worth and are precious in Christ's sight, and there are also those like wood and clay that would make good firewood for satan to work with

We pray for these. You love them all. These people that are like empty wood containers and clay jars need You.  They are part of the body, but empty to the things of the Spirit, and ever so worldly. How can it be Father? They are like the one born with a silver spoon in his mouth. Always busy taking, but never making time to pray. Busy bees, but not dependable, rather, they are a discouragement to the body. Never building up, but rather they appear to fall for anything and usually take those around them with them.

We pray for the body. Keep us healthy. Remove or heal the busybody and take with him his gossiping ways.  He is conflicted. In him is much pride, he is desperate for more of You while expecting all the attention to be on him and sucking all of the energy out of the room. Life sucker.

We pray for the prideful ones Father. Pride comes before the fall. Keep us humble Lord. We pray that the body remain focused on You and what You are doing. We pray that none of Your children be so bold as to bring dishonor to Your name and to the church with what they do and what they say. Make us always have something of value to offer and keep the Spirit alive in us.  We are to pray for and also to tell the dishonorable vessels to clean up their lives.

So, we are to make ourselves useful. Use us in Your Way Father. We are to hold one another accountable for we are the wood and clay vessels made pure only by the Silver and Gold life that He lived and the blood of Christ. There is none so Holy in the flesh that does not need correction. We are not to be like those who are unclean. So I weep and I pray, let Your Love wash over this nation. Let the weeping and repentance for what we have done wrongly in Your name begin.

Come clean Church!  Know thine enemy. We are to wash ourselves in the River often. To God be the Glory when we do these things and when we listen to Wisdom and walk away from those deceivers and dishonorable teachers and depart from the iniquity. We need You Jesus in this hour. When we do this, Father God might sanctify us and we might become useful to the Master and be made ready for the Lord's work.

In Jesus's name.
Amen.
