Don't Fight! Stop the Violence

It’s clear that our flesh entices us into practicing some of its most heinous acts: participating in corrupt sexual relationships, impurity, unbridled lust,  idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, arguing, jealousy, anger, selfishness, contentiousness, division,  envy of others’ good fortune, drunkenness, drunken revelry, and other shameful vices that plague humankind. I told you this clearly before, and I only tell you again so there is no room for confusion: those who give in to these ways will not inherit the kingdom of God

 The Holy Spirit produces a different kind of fruit: unconditional love, joy, peace, patience, kindheartedness, goodness, faithfulness,  gentleness, and self-control. You won’t find any law opposed to fruit like this.  Those of us who belong to the Anointed One have crucified our old lives and put to death the flesh and all the lusts and desires that plague us.

 Now since we have chosen to walk with the Spirit, let’s keep each step in perfect sync with God’s Spirit.  This will happen when we set aside our self-interests and work together to create true community instead of a culture consumed by provocation, pride, and envy.' Galatians 5:19-26 (VOICE)

 Dear Father

Thank you for Your Word and for giving us a Spirit to guide us and to produce the kind of fruit in us that You desire. For whenever we choose to walk with the Spirit we keep in Your Will. You promise for us a a better life, filled with Joy and an inheritance of Your Kingdom that is to come. Change our hearts to choose self-control to resolve our differences. Show us Your Ways to peace and service. Give us kind hearts one to another. 

Don't fight. Show us the error of the enemy's ways always lead to death. No power gained through violence shall be sustained. Drink the blood. Die by the blood. This is not the tools of politics, but of witchcraft and sorcery. The devil is a liar and a thief. Stop the physical violence. Protect those who fight to keep us safe on earth. We pray for protection and peace to be restored. Thank You for Your Angels that battle the demonic in the spiritual realm and are our heavenly police force.

In Jesus' name.

Amen.

In Chapter three, the evil ideas of Haman, to have all the Jews exterminated, had been decreed by the king, and the money set aside in an account for the diabolical deeds and the date was set on the calendar for the bloodshed! That part is so incredible, that one man was given that much power. Just imagine it if you were a Jew. The date for the destruction of your entire race was set and the preparations to follow through with it were being made. Thankfully, our God is greater. Our God is able.
