  ' For whom the Lord loves, he chastens. And He scourges every son that He receives.”' Hebrews 12:6 (RGT). God loves me. Yes He does. He invited me. He welcomed me. He received me. He adopted me. I am chosen in Christ who took on human nature and died to take me in as one of His own family. Because He loves me He will send trials my way. He does not scourge me when it is undeserved or just to inflict pain. No, he deals with me for my own protection, for my own good, when I fail Him in ways that a Good Father would. He chastens me in love. His love for me is everlasting and unchanging. Therefore, He does not neglect me or ignore me. He treats me as if I am a legitimate daughter of His. He cares for me. He watches over me. He says He delights in His children. He restrains and governs me in order to keep me from falling into sin. I am a believer. The Bible is True. Jesus is alive. A change my mind moment. When I wake up and see in my minds eye what blessings God offers me through His son Jesus Christ. Though as of yet I cannot see Him, as I must have faith to find my Joy. With faith in Him, it is at that moment that I see the writing on the wall, the errors of my past ways, and the benefits of my eternal future, flashed before my eyes, laid out for me so precisely just like a fine garment of grace when I return to God. Joy is like medicine. A believer's joy cannot be contained. Whenever a believer is around the joy of the Lord is present. The joy of the Lord is like medicine. 'Jesus told them, “This is the only work God wants from you: Believe in the one he has sent.”' John 6:29 (NLT) To some lost in their sins, Jesus just doesn't suit their tastes. His gospel of peace is too much for them to take. He demands the unthinkable. They may have followed Him for awhile but soon enough became bitter and walked away. They doubted what He said, they denied what He did, they did not believe for a second what their own eyes saw and their ears heard and their hearts felt.  So they turned and walked away in unbelief. They missed the opportunity of a lifetime and the only work that God wants from us. They refused to believe that Jesus was who He said He was. The Savior of the world! The very Son of God! In their unbelief they were forever undone.  The half-baked. The unsaved. The unbeliever is doomed to fail. Because of the sins of Adam, we know that the unbeliever is under the curse of the Law and will die in their sins. Eternal hell awaits ...

  ‘What sorrow for those who say that evil is good and good is evil, that dark is light and light is dark, that bitter is sweet and sweet is bitter.’ Isaiah 5:20.   The Word of God really is like a light unto my feet, it illuminates my thoughts, it justifies my behaviors. The Word of God is good.    The Word of God is good because it reveals the Truth. God is Truth. God warns those that light up the darkness in order to rebel against Him. Darkness is sin. And in darkness sin is used to cover up sin. Lies are told to justify the ungodly; bitter is sweet, dark is light, up is down. Woe to those that condone and therefore justify sin. God will deal with them justly. God is Holy. Justice will be served.   And don't we see it being played out on the intellectual side? Being smart in the ways of the world might gain you some position of power and some stuff, but worldliness is lacking in righteousness and it will never prevail. There is nothing wrong with ...

How is your life going? You may be one decision away from a totally different life. Tired of living in darkness? Making bad choices? Swimming upstream? There is a right way and a wrong way to go in life. Are you taking too many short cuts? Are you making poor comparisons? Are you guilty of having too much optimism? If this is you, then don't give up. It's not too late. There is Hope and His name is Jesus. You can make a change in your life and the right decision that is a good one for you. Many of us were also tired of doing things the hard way, by ourselves just wasn't working for us and so we decided to follow Jesus. We let go of the striving, thinking that we were in control and let God be our moral compass and eternal light source. It’s clear that our flesh entices us into practicing some of its most heinous acts: participating in corrupt sexual relationships, impurity, unbridled lust,  idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, arguing, jealousy, anger, selfishness, contentiousness, division,  envy of others’ good fortune, drunkenness, drunken revelry, and other shameful vices that plague humankind . I told you this clearly before, and I only tell you again so there is no room for confusion: those who give in to these ways will not inherit the kingdom of God   The Holy Spirit produces a different kind of fruit: unconditional love, joy, peace, patience, kindheartedness, goodness, faithfulness,  gentleness, and self-control. He is always there through all of my failures and trials to uplift me. His love for me supports me. His love for me sustains me. In life, He is my portion. I've been saved and grafted in to His family. I am a child of God. Though my heart may fail me His never will. God's Heartbeat is strong, strong enough for the both of us. He is my source of everything that is good. The grace of God, and the presence of the Holy Spirit are my inheritance, my source, my hope. He's all that I will ever need.
