The Messenger

 Look! A messenger is coming over the mountains with good news!
    He is bringing a message of peace.
Celebrate your festivals, O people of Judah,
    and fulfill all your vows,
for your wicked enemies will never invade your land again.
    They will be completely destroyed!' Nahum 1:15 (NLT) 

Dear Father
Thank you for Your Word. Thank you for the words of Nahum the prophet to Ninevah and the encouraging words he provided Judah when he told them that the enemy would be completely defeated. 

The name Nahum is the abbreviated form of the name Nehemiah which means 'comfort'. Lord, You sent a comforting word through Your prophet to Ninevah, the capital of the Assyrian Empire. These were the very same nation of people that had heard the preaching of Jonah one hundred years before and that had repented. Unfortunately, they had fallen back into sin, and it was Nahum's time to lift up his voice and share the vision from You for the nation

You are speaking to us now as well. You speak to us as individuals. You also deal with the nations. One way You speak to us is through Your preachers and Your prophets. Your Word says that You are slow to anger. You are merciful. Here is Your message of Good News! Our God Saves!

As in Ninevah, the enemy, by their occupation has ruined the parties, the activities and the festivals that were planned. The invader had disrupted everything and even tried to silence the Word from going forth. Now we see that the times are changing and we will all be changed. There is Good News in the land once again. Judah is going before You. Disinfecting agents are gone off the shelves in the natural as a sign in the Spiritual that You are cleansing our hearts to bring us back to You. We pray.

You have our attention Lord. All is silent at the very thought of all that has been lost and all that needs to be done. There is death, there is fear, there is evil. There is also Good among us as well. There is Your Messenger among us and He talks to us with Words of Hope. Fill us with Your mighty Word. By Your Holy Word, when we listen, we can know You and know this, soon enough, all the land secured by the enemy will be returned. Everyone captured and distanced from each other in their homes right now will be released in Your time. Everyone, will see Your Glory and will be at peace as their lives are restored to normal.

Good News. You send Your Good News to us. God, You have sent Your messengers, the very ones that are not ashamed of Your Gospel. There are signs and visions and there are dreamers. The Good news is for those that hear from You and that will repent throughout all of the land. Their lives will be saved and they will be restored.  Normalcy will be restored. Eternity is gained. Borders, Lord! As that wicked enemy will be completely destroyed by You and will never invade this land again! Those that will survive will come out stronger, even the weak, and come out with much much more than they had before they went in. Thank you Lord.

That part is so incredible, that one man was given that much power. Just imagine it if you were a Jew.
