Do You Deliver

 'Then he said to me, “This is what the Lord says to Zerubbabel: It is not by force nor by strength, but by my Spirit, says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies.' Zechariah 4:6 (NLT)

Dear Father
Forgive me and  my generation, for we have failed You in so many ways. The spirit is willing but the flesh is weak. Through confession there is healing. We feel Your anger as it burns against some of Your own priests and the elderly. Some of us took our eyes off of You and went after other things of this world. We were distracted by fame and money, and wasted our days on entertainment and leisure. We became frustrated by those that stood in the way, so we spent our time and energy on building our own kingdoms. You are telling me that those days are over now Lord.

You say that we will no longer eat the food of this culture or drink of its wine. Those seductions and obsessions with science and technology are over. Our dreams of socialism and globalism have made us fat and lazy. We choose things of little value over You. We pursued our own pleasures. We admit that we were wrong. We are so thankful that You have awakened us. Thank You for helping us to get a grip on ourselves and our surroundings. Thank You for putting us back on the right road and on a spiritual fast and a food diet.

You gave us the purpose to be a light to the world and we stupidly put the light out so that we might shine our own.  And now until Your holiness is returned the work of building your Kingdom through Your Church will come to an end.

The work of building Your Kingdom is and always has been in Your hands. We fought with You for control. We fight with You now for Your blessing. Your blood redeemed us. You purchased us to bring us to You and make us into a kingdom of Priests. You required that Your Priests be spotless and Holy and without blemish. Now, that they don't preach much anymore, the governor has been given authority, for a short time, to restore order and put out his demands. He is now working with You and through You we have all been ordered to stay home as much as possible until further notice. You found a way to separate us to bring us all together.

You are community minded, this hour. You are healing and reviving us at the same time, this day. You will meet us there in our homes and comfort us and fill us in the supernatural, this month. Some of us were tired and grumbling and out of ideas, but we will come out in the end as new creatures, down a few unwanted pounds and revived. You will, soon enough, when You are ready, free your people from their captivity. So for now, we are asking 'Do you deliver'?

We will, soon enough, see again that it is Christ alone and He delivers all that we need. He gives us grace and strength and  hope and it is by Your power alone that Your church will be preserved. Her work is accomplished through Your grace alone. In Your own way You supply the oil and the materials and all good works are provided by You. You are the inspiration behind it all. Your Church will live to shine again. All help comes from You and You do not need man's might or advice to advance, just Your Spirit and Her best work is yet to come and we give You all the Glory.

We were selfish and we appreciate Your judgment. We need You. We took You for granted. Our sins are many. We confess our sins of; abortion, addiction, sexual perversion, fortune-telling, pornography, corruption, chaos, and divorce. We neglected Your House and we denied that we knew You. We haven't prayed and fasted for so long. We haven't spoken the truth enough. We haven't spoken to You in such a long time. We left Your people in darkness for too long. Please forgive us.

Perhaps we have offended You with our silence and let our culture die slowly from neglect and deny you and run towards the enemy of spiritual death. Yet, Your patience is long-suffering and You extend Your hand of life and forgiveness to us. So, during this time of rest, as we are isolated, talk to us, heal our hearts. You have our attention. 

Just look at the amazing things that have been done in the past in Your Name. Your Son is sufficient. Your Ways are eternal. We are ready to worship You in spirit and in truth again. You are Worthy. We are ready to meet you at Your Holy Table and the Altar of Forgiveness. We are ready to extend our hands to the needy and the lost and pull them out of the pit of hell for You. Use this time to heal us and to change us into a mirror image of You.

And changes are being made with no force and without man's strength. We see that Your Spirit is in it. We see You sending warring angels to cut through the tentacles that have bound us up and tried to choke us down. You are using the entire business community to help destroy the enemy of Your people and to help rebuild Your Church. We pray that none of us return to business as usual, but that You do Your good work in us. To You we are all essential.

We believe in You and we thank You for shaking and restoring Your church. You are birthing something new through our sacrifice. There is about to be a -sent straight from God- special delivery. We are waiting and we are willing to meet with You and we are fired up to do better.

You are dealing with the thieves and the ones who swear falsely among us. You are designing and designating and keeping essential services open and available so that we can start to rebuild Your communities that are needing some attention and tender loving care. You are evaporating the things that have taken too much of our time with some local government officials helping You. You are removing mountains and making them plains so that not even mountains will get in our way.

We are all on board and we are all willing to work together and to come out of this thing improved and changed. Ministering angels, please visit the houses and the homes. We plead the blood of Jesus over every house and pray for this plague to pass over our homes this Easter season.

Through You, we are beginning to overcome the fear that has gripped us, and with it, the selfishness that remains in our hearts. Help us to rebuild the family connections, to ask for forgiveness for what we have done when necessary and awaken us this hour to be strong in You again. Our light over the nation will be lit again and be the beacon of hope to the world that we are called to be. You are measuring the borders. You are taking off our filthy garments and restoring to us a beautiful wardrobe of fine linens.

You are also giving us authority over Your Church and courtyard again. You are preparing Your people and You are supplying them with everything that they will need. For the amount of wealth transfer that is about to be restored to them, none can comprehend it, and there will not even be enough room to contain it! You are restoring manufacturing and with it jobs, while the church and government are being put back in their proper places again. The Spirit of Generosity is being restored to Your church. You are replacing the things that are important and that the enemy has taken.

We have Your promise that we will succeed. Shine Your Light of favor on us. We just want to finish up our final days strong again and building Your Kingdom. Reveal Your Glory. Amen.
