Woe to the Self Secure

“Who do you think you are—

    recklessly grabbing and looting,
Living it up, acting like king of the mountain,
    acting above it all, above trials and troubles?
You’ve engineered the ruin of your own house.
    In ruining others you’ve ruined yourself.
You’ve undermined your foundations,
    rotted out your own soul.
The bricks of your house will speak up and accuse you.

Who do you think you are? Pride. Did you think that you could escape its snare? The pride of life that led to the addiction that destroyed your family will also lead to the fall.  The grabbing and the looting, you lived it up all the while you took advantage of it all. You took what did not belong to you. You engineered your own demise. You wrecked your own house. You hurt them all. You thought you'd never get caught. You were wrong. It's time to pay the man. Your debts are about to come due.

Every step forward has taken you two steps back. You were reckless. You stole from others without even thinking of what it would cost you. You thought you could cheat the system to win. You thought you could impress them and buy your friends. You lived it up like you were on top of the world. You were so clever. Woe to the self secure. No trials. No troubles. Now, no thing? Nothing, but the sounds of crashing and burning. Nothing but the sights of crumbling and ruin.

What have you got to show for yourself? What have you got to say for yourself? You've ruined everything.  You destroyed your foundations and you've allowed temptations to rot out your own soul. Your house has seen it all and now even the bricks will speak out against you. Your day of judgment is at hand America.  

You don't respect or fear man, but how could you be so bold as to not even fear God? He sees and knows everything. He will not be mocked. Wake up. Wake up and turn. Turn away from your wicked ways. Turn to Him and repent before it is too late.  Repent America. Revival is near. Redemption is at hand!
