Respecting God's Boundaries

“The true God is the Creator of all things. He is the owner and Lord of the heavenly realm and the earthly realm, and he doesn’t live in man-made temples. He supplies life and breath and all things to every living being. He doesn’t lack a thing that we mortals could supply for him, for he has all things and everything he needs.  From one man, Adam, he made every man and woman and every race of humanity, and he spread us over all the earth. He sets the boundaries of people and nations, determining their appointed times in history.  He has done this so that every person would long for God, feel their way to him, and find him—for he is the God who is easy to discover!  It is through him that we live and function and have our identity; just as your own poets have said, ‘Our lineage comes from him.' Acts 17:24-28 (TPT)

When considering boundaries it's good to consider that God sets the boundaries for all the peoples and nations of the Earth. The God we worship is the one true God and He is the creator of all things. He is the only God that is alive and He lives outside of the temples made of men. He supplies all of our needs and doesn't need a single thing from us in return. He made Adam and from Him came every man and woman of every race. He spread humanity out over all the earth. He also determines our appointed times in history. Such be the kings of Assyria and Persia and the kings of Greece and Rome. Those were some of the greats and yet there was a beginning and most certainly an end to their reign and their power and greatness. God Himself marked out their appointed time in history as well as the boundaries of their lands.

How could it be that some might feel the desire to expand their borders? That would be evil. How could it be that some might consider that life would be better if we had no borders? All without wisdom and futile and foolish thoughts. For it is God who has given us boundaries. It is God that has appointed our time in history. I will respect yours if you will respect mine. He has done so that each might consider Him and come to know Him. Then there will come a day, that great day in eternity when every knee shall bow before Him and every tongue shall confess that Jesus is Lord. Jesus is our Lord. He is the Ruler over all of the kings of the Earth! Amen!
