Taking a Stand

Image
'Be alert. Continue strong in the faith. Have courage, and be strong. Do everything in love.' 1 Corinthians 16:13-14 (NCV) To be alert is to be ready and not to fall asleep on the job or to become lazy. This faithful Christian is always in danger. He cannot become distracted by events even for a moment. His very life is at stake. He is to be watchful and to remain poised for battle. In that, he must remain poised and also be prepared for it when danger comes, that shock to the faith so to speak. He can take a stand against the enemy, when the challenges come, that he might diminish their outcomes because he sees them coming. Because he sees the attacks coming, he can be confident in the revelation of God in Jesus and to stay on his feet and not stumble. Even though he is weak, he has been made strong and brave in the fight with the world, the flesh and the devil. Through His strength he has been given spiritual power, wisdom and understanding to take on

No Darkness

Image
' This is the message we have heard from him and proclaim to you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.' 1 John 1:5 (ESV)   ' And night will be no more. They will need no light of lamp or sun, for the Lord God will be their light, and they will reign forever and ever.' Revelation 22:5 (ESV)   No darkness in him at all. No sunlight. No darkness in him at all. No sunlight. No darkness... Dear Father We praise you for who you are. You are the Father of lights, the author and the giver of all light. You illuminate and you are the light of reason.   We pray this thirty-first day before the election. Be the giver of light and the light of reason. Make a way for darkness to flee as your light continues to shine bright on this land. Disrupt the evil plans of the enemy. Give victory to those with hearts turned to you. In Jesus' name. Amen. Do Not Live in Fear

Image
' but I have prayed for you that your faith may not fail. And when you have turned again, strengthen your brothers.”' Luke 22:32 (ESV) Only depend on God. Jesus knew all of his disciples would fall. They would turn on one another. They would deny that they even knew Him. Jesus prayed for them. And after the conflict and they turned again to Jesus, they were able to strengthen one another in the faith. Dear Father Thank you that Jesus prays for me. Thank you that He wants the best for me and that He cares for me. No matter what the world takes me through I can keep the faith and turn to Him and find strength to even be an encouragement to my brothers and sisters. Thank you Lord for your strength. Thank you for your mighty hands. Thank you for your grace and mercy. I know that you suffered through my weaknesses so that I might not have to. In you I find my Peace. In you I find Rest. You are my Savior. Father, I pray for my country this thirty-second day before the

Do Not Live in Fear

Image
'“So have no fear of them, for nothing is covered that will not be revealed, or hidden that will not be known. What I tell you in the dark, say in the light, and what you hear whispered, proclaim on the housetops. And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather fear him who can destroy both soul and body in hell. Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? And not one of them will fall to the ground apart from your Father. But even the h airs of your head are all numbered. Fear not, therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows. So everyone who acknowledges me before men, I also will acknowledge before my Father who is in heaven, but whoever denies me before men, I also will deny before my Father who is in heaven.' Matthew 10: 26-33 (ESV) The anecdote to fear is simply this; faith in God. God says 'do not live in fear of the things that I have created, but instead, be wise and fear Me, for I am God, the creator of all things'
