Deep Roots
'But blessed is the one who trusts in Me alone
the Eternal will be his confidence.
He is like a tree planted by water,
sending out its roots beside the stream.
It does not fear the heat or even drought.
Its leaves stay green and its fruit is dependable, no matter what it faces.'
Jeremiah 17:7-8 (VOICE)
Dear Father
We
are blessed to know You and when we lose that final battle, we look
forward to being called home and hearing You say 'Well done my good and
faithful servant. Enter into your rest.' With sadness in our hearts, we
must acknowledge that she was an overcomer but the cruel hard fact is
that she never made it through this time. We loved her and she will not
be forgotten. She was a giver. She loved us. She was beautiful. She was
laughter. She was wisdom. She was blessed. She was dependable. She knew
You. We were part of that same tree. I prayed that her leaves would stay
green, but it was not to be. Though we wonder how we will endure the
trials of life without her, we know that she is in a better place and we
are better for having known her. Love you my dear friend. This time the
bell tolls for thee.
In Jesus's name
Amen.
Update:
The Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away. We were blessed to have Isaac
and Howard with us all week. They are such well behaved brothers. They
remind me of their dad. They fill the house with love and laughter.
Their smiles light up the room. Their joy in life is contagious. Thank
you Lord. You are most gracious in Your giving.
