Silver Coins

'But understand this, that in the last days there will come times of difficulty.  For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy,  heartless, unappeasable, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not loving good,  treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God,  having the appearance of godliness, but denying its power. Avoid such people.  For among them are those who creep into households and capture weak women, burdened with sins and led astray by various passions,  always learning and never able to arrive at a knowledge of the truth.  Just as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses, so these men also oppose the truth, men corrupted in mind and disqualified regarding the faith.  But they will not get very far, for their folly will be plain to all, as was that of those two men.' 2 Timothy 3:1-9 (ESV)

Dear Father

Thank you for Your Word. Your Word teaches that there will be difficult times. In those days that Paul wrote to Timothy about, there will be people that have gone mad. The evidence? There will be a time when people will wrongly love their BODIES and themselves more than You. The likes of these will love their money, silver coins, things of silver and gold, and even the things it will buy, more than You.

The lawless will love the government of man more than Your SPIRITUAL Government. They will be reckless in their dealings and actions and will despise the things of You Lord and rebel against Your Will and Your Way.

The abusers will be opposed to the Truth and corrupted in MIND and disqualified regarding the Faith.  You say that we are to avoid such as these and that their folly will be exposed for all to see and that they won't get very far in their evil plots and endeavors.

Thank you Lord that You Love Your own enough to give them a Word of warning. Thank you also that You will comfort them and keep them safe during these days. We pray for the lost. Save them all.

In Jesus's name.

Amen.
