Shalom

'The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you; the Lord lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace.' Numbers 6:24-26 (ESV)


Dear Father,
For my Lord Jehovah the Father will bless me with all spiritual blessings. My Lord Jehovah the Son will bless me with salvation and all redeeming grace. My Lord Jehovah the Spirit will bless me with regeneration and sanctification. For Thou hast loved me. Then You will look cheerfully at me. You will show me Your face and Your favor. You will smile and declare that You are well pleased with me through Christ. God, Jehovah Shalom, Your name is Peace.

Lessons from the Bible can reassure us of God's love for us and they show us that His ways are good and so much higher than our own. How powerful. In Chapter three, the evil ideas of Haman, to have all the Jews exterminated, had been decreed by the king, and the money set aside in an account for the diabolical deeds and the date was set on the calendar for the bloodshed! That part is so incredible, that one man was given that much power. Just imagine it if you were a Jew. The date for the destruction of your entire race was set and the preparations to follow through with it were being made. Thankfully, our God is greater. Our God is able.
