New You

 'The Spirit of the Lord will come powerfully upon you, and you will prophesy with them; and you will be changed into a different person.' 1 Samuel 10:6 (NIV)

Dear Father

Thank you for Your Word. Send Your Spirit to overpower us. Take control. Your enemies have made a mess of things. We need Your Wisdom. We need Your Comforter. We need Your Strength in this hour.

We need thee, oh how we need thee. We are calling on You for help during this emergency. Anoint us Lord. Fill our heads with new thoughts. Take our emotions in new directions. Strengthen our minds with Your righteous Power. Fill our mouths with new languages.  Give us the energy to take action. Make us capable to lead and eager to join the battle. Enlarge our territory.

Fifty three days, we will be voting and we pray Your Will be done. Enlarge our capacity and strengthen our resolve. Turn our hearts back to You. We pray for Your Church. Open Her doors. Make Your Bride ready to meet the needs of Your people while she waits for You. Give her Wisdom and Grace. Bring salvation and healing through her Words and hands. Let the whole world see her Beauty. Fill her heart for the things that breaks Yours. Send her out with Your Love. Though she is tired, she can see You. We pray that You keep her standing during the storms and help her to defeat the enemy. Give her resolve to speak Truth. She will not fail You. She will keep her eyes toward heaven and on Jesus. We love You Lord. Thank you for waking us up, cleaning us up and making us brand new. Thank you for birthing in us a new song.

Lessons from the Bible can reassure us of God's love for us and they show us that His ways are good and so much higher than our own. How powerful. In Chapter three, the evil ideas of Haman, to have all the Jews exterminated, had been decreed by the king, and the money set aside in an account for the diabolical deeds and the date was set on the calendar for the bloodshed! That part is so incredible, that one man was given that much power. Just imagine it if you were a Jew. The date for the destruction of your entire race was set and the preparations to follow through with it were being made. Thankfully, our God is greater. Our God is able.
