Where Was I When?

Image
'“Where were you when I laid the foundations of the earth?      Tell me, if you know so much.     Who determined its dimensions      and stretched out the surveying line?     What supports its foundations,      and who laid its cornerstone     as the morning stars sang together      and all the angels shouted for joy?' Job 38:4-7 (NLT) Um-hum. Job? For the humbling of man, God often shows him the ignorance he possesses of ones own earth and seas. Same with Job. How could he know it? How could he explain it? No one can possibly know everything about what God is doing in their lives, though we often try to analyze the very thing! Our minds are limited. Useless hours. Mindless pursuits. Amen. How was the earth created? Many have tried, even science puts forth its own version of how it all began, and it all sounds pretty believable up to a point, the very point where they try to explain away God, the part that leaves one guessing and hypothesizing as to the gaps

Creative Moments

' If you keep quiet at a time like this, deliverance and relief for the Jews will arise from some other place, but you and your relatives will die. Who knows if perhaps you were made queen for just such a time as this?”' Esther 4:14 (NLT) So, we can rest assured, that if we fail to give our testimony and service when asked, that God will deliver and relieve his people by some other way. Yet there is that, how shall they believe in him in whom they have not heard, most of us shy away with fear from perilous times and tasks, and bow the knee to the enemy when told to do so, but consider this as well. Oh, if we could just know how much we are worth to the Kingdom and stand to defend His honor! Having coward to save your own life you shall no doubt lose it along with all of your relatives, for we know soon enough that the enemy is never satisfied. He is evil, he is a destroyer of all things good and his hunger for power is strong. Esther, who knows why you were gi

'And Nehemiah continued, “Go and celebrate with a feast of rich foods and sweet drinks, and share gifts of food with people who have nothing prepared. This is a sacred day before our Lord. Don’t be dejected and sad, for the joy of the Lord is your strength!”' Nehemiah 8:10 (NLT) Tender hearts bring out the best in us. Never stop believing in others. Never stop caring for the poor,  the widows and the orphans. Make it a good day. Spread some Joy. Amen and amen. God's generous goodness should make me generous as well. I should give freely, even to those who have not prepared. I could give even to those that can never repay. I give because my strength is in the joy of the Lord. The more of God's Word that gets inside of me the better. The more that I can gain understanding in God's ways the more comfort I will find in Him. As troubles arise and with it comes the pain, God says don't be dejected and sad. Much of the bad stuff that I go throu

The Redeemed

' Then Shecaniah son of Jehiel, a descendant of Elam, said to Ezra, “We have been unfaithful to our God, for we have married these pagan women of the land. But in spite of this there is hope for Israel. ' Ezra 10:2 (NLT) Dear Father, We have found ourselves in a sad way; the times are troubling but not desperate; the disease is threatening but not incurable. But in spite of all of this gloom and drama and despair that the world has to offer, there is hope for tomorrow; our demise may be prevented by repentance and reformation.  There is hope for us for tomorrow because we are Your sons and daughters; every kindred, and tongue, and people and nation, we are the descendants of the great Elohim. Hallelujah! The guilty have been restored, because of Your son Jesus the spreading of the virus of sin has been stopped. We are the redeemed! By Your blood, Your judgment upon us has been prevented. By Your stripes, we have been made clean and are healed. Through You, s

'T hen if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land.' 2 Chronicles 7:14 (NLT)   Because of the chronicler, it has been made known to us that after Solomon built the Temple, he dedicated it to the Lord. What an amazing accomplishment. Just imagine how the people felt when the Fire of the Lord came down from heaven and burnt up the offerings and the sacrifices, 22,000  cattle and 120,000 sheep and goats, as the glorious presence of the Lord filled the Temple.   Solomon and the rest of the people of Israel celebrated for seven days. The priests and the Levites sang, 'His faithful love endures forever'! Solomon consecrated the central area of the courtyard in front of the Temple with peace offerings, burnt offerings and grain offerings because the bronze altar could not hold it all. Then he sent the people

'Seek the Lord and His strength; Seek His face continually.' 1 Chronicles 16:11 ( NASB) Then on that day David first assigned Asaph and his relatives to give thanks to the Lord .   Oh give thanks to the Lord , call upon His name;  Make known His deeds among the peoples.    Sing to Him, sing praises to Him;   Speak of all His wonders.  Glory in His holy name; Let the heart of those who seek the Lord be glad.  Seek the Lord and His strength; Seek His face continually.    Remember His wonderful deeds which He has done, His marvels and the judgments from His mouth,    O seed of Israel His servant, Sons of Jacob, His chosen ones!     He is the Lord our God; His judgments are in all the earth.     Remember His covenant forever, The word which He commanded to a thousand generations,     The covenant which He made with Abraham, And His oath to Isaac.     He also confirmed it to Jacob for a statute, To Israel as an everlasting covenant,     Saying, “T

My Lord, My Healer

“Go back and tell Hezekiah, the leader of my people: ‘This is what the Lord , the God of your ancestor David, says: I have heard your prayer and seen your tears, so I will heal you. Three days from now you will go up to the Temple of the Lord .' 2 Kings 20:5 (NCV) So it behooves us to pray whenever we are sick, lest it give the appearance that we do not trust God. For it is true, He cares for us. There is not a cry, not a moan, not a sigh, not a groan, not even a single tear from those who believe that does not open the heart of God and move Him to compassion.  If He does not answer our prayers it is because we ask inappropriately or for things that are not good for us. Hezekiah's prayer of faith was effectual.  He was healed so completely and so quickly from sickness unto death, that he was in the Temple within three days to acknowledge the miracle and God's goodness for sparing his life. Dear Father. Thank you for Your Word. Thank you that You hear my

None Like You Before or After

Image
' And God said to him, “Because you have asked this, and have not asked for yourself long life or riches or the life of your enemies, but have asked for yourself understanding to discern what is right,   behold, I now do according to your word. Behold, I give you a wise and discerning mind, so that none like you has been before you and none like you shall arise after you.' 1 Kingss 3:11-12 (ESV)  God makes us happy by assuring us that we will have what we need and what we pray for. For Solomon, he had many enemies, he could have asked God to remove them, yet victory in battle was not one of his prayer request. And for Solomon, he did not ask for earthly things or even a long life. God prefers that we pray that way, for the spiritual blessings over the earthly goods. In the end Solomon received wisdom in government, discerning judgment in the natural and the spiritual matters and long life and riches. There has been no one like him before or after regarding w

Put on the Mind of Christ.

' A person who does not have the Spirit does not accept the truths that come from the Spirit of God. That person thinks they are foolish and cannot understand them, because they can only be judged to be true by the Spirit.' 1 Corinthians 2:14 (NCV) The carnal man, unregenerate and lost to his own ignorance and sensual desires lacks the grace of God. In his own mind, he has no need for God. With wit and reason, he believes in himself and sees the physical things around him but counts the things of God as both foolishness and ridiculous. As the Spirit is ignored and neglected, it become paralyzed and so too the higher order of things, truth and mercy. Thus the natural man cannot know the things of God, and is blind to them as they are spiritually discerned in a spiritual manner by a spiritual light, under the influence of the spirit and by the assistance of the Spirit of God. No one can know the things of God except His Holy Spirit for the Spirit is one with

Height Prejudice

Image
' But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not look on his appearance or on the height of his stature, because I have rejected him. For the Lord sees not as man sees: man looks on the outward appearance, but the Lord looks on the heart.”' 1 Samuel 16:7 (ESV) Dear Father Thank you for Your Word. I am so grateful that You do not judge me based on human standards of character, no, You are Spirit. Man often makes quick inaccurate judgements and opinions of who I am based on my name or my looks or even my height, but rather, You know me more deeply and look at my heart and You judge me based on the things that the Spirit values; faith, fear and love. You are Love. You are always a fair Judge. You do not show favorites but often honor and bless the least among us. Who can know those You have picked and predestined to be priests and kings in Your Kingdom? Only You Lord the Omniscient and Holy One! Who can fear You and live under Your anointing? Only those that have chosen Y

' But Ruth said, “Do not urge me to leave you or to return from following you. For where you go I will go, and where you lodge I will lodge. Your people shall be my people, and your God my God.   Where you die I will die, and there will I be buried. May the Lord do so to me and more also if anything but death parts me from you.”' Ruth 1:16-17 (ESV) It's a choice of monumental proportions.  Love is like that. Some things we love, but not enough to leave behind the other things that might have our heart for. We don't understand the Eternal.  It is a life long commitment. You have got to sacrifice the one thing for the other. It is a true matter of the heart and a prioritizing of one's values, to leave the one and to follow the other. The other, being the better thing. The thing of great value.  It is truly the rarest of all finds. Something of great price. The purity of the pearl.   The grace. The grace of God. Elohim. He's worth the fig

' Now Deborah, a prophetess, the wife of Lappidoth, was judging Israel at that time.   She used to sit under the palm of Deborah between Ramah and Bethel in the hill country of Ephraim, and the people of Israel came up to her for judgment.' Judges 4:4-5 (ESV) Deborah judged people during a period of Israel's oppression around 1250 BC. She was endowed with many gifts and grace, to write songs, to judge, to prophesy, to convince her people of their sins. She was a wife and a courageous leader that directed Barak, an army general, to raise up an army to fight for their country's freedom.  Deborah assisted in battle as she would not send where she was unwilling to go and God intervened and assisted in the battle with a great victory. Dear Father Thank you for Your Word that encourages and inspires. Help us to never turn our back on You, just as the people followed You in the days of prophetess Deborah, help us to hear from You and follow Your ways. Yo

'Be strong and courageous, for you shall cause this people to inherit the land that I swore to their fathers to give them.   Only be strong and very courageous, being careful to do according to all the law that Moses my servant commanded you. Do not turn from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may have good success wherever you go.' Joshua 1:6-7 (ESV) Dear Father Thank you for Your Word. Forgive me for my sins. Your Word is an encouragement. I am encouraged with the promises and the presence of You God. You've given me a plan and a purpose. My own issues and troubles are not to bother me. I know Your name. You are all-sufficient El-Shaddai. I know You are for me.  I know You will see me through to my own inheritance. Thank you Lord! Who loves You more than I? I am to be strong and courageous when I am in Your Will and following Your commands. Though some doubt Your power, as past its time, some know that we need Your power more now than ever. Do

Your Word...

Image
' And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart.   You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise.' Deuteronomy 6:6-7 (ESV) Dear Father, Thank you for Your Word. Your Word that instructs me to Meditate. I call it prayer. I speak to You Father all day long. Your Word that instructs me to Teach. I will talk about You to the children so that they will know You as I do. Your Word that instructs me to Talk. I will talk about You to the rest, so that they might see You in me. Your Word that instruct me to Read. I will read Your Word each day and several times throughout the day. Nothing will hinder me from seeking You through Your Word. To love You is to know You. This day I commit Your Word to my heart. To know You is to love You. In Jesus's name, Amen . Source: 'Drummingthemessagehome', February

' The Lord bless you and keep you;   the Lord make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you;   the Lord lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace.' Numbers 6:24-26 (ESV) Dear Father, For my Lord Jehovah the Father will bless me with all spiritual blessings. My Lord Jehovah the Son will bless me with salvation and all redeeming grace. My Lord Jehovah the Spirit will bless me with regeneration and sanctification. For Thou hast loved me. Then You will look cheerfully at me. You will show me Your face and Your favor. You will smile and declare that You are well pleased with me through Christ. God, Jehovah Shalom, Your name is Peace. In Jesus's name,  Amen. Keeping You First

Image
' And it shall be, when he shall be guilty in one of these things , that he shall confess that wherein he hath sinned:' Leviticus 5:5 (ASV) Dear Father, Thank you for Your Word. Your Word is Truth and Eternal. Your Word is Holy and convicting. Your Word is Logos, the living Word of Jesus. O Lord forgive me for I have sinned. I have strayed from Your Holy Laws. I have done what is wrong in Your eyes. I have failed to put You first. I am so ashamed. Please forgive me. I will remember to always keep You first in everything that I do. Your Word is a lamp unto my feet. My confession is necessary in sacrifice. Your atonement is met with my repentance and confession. Thank you for your Son Jesus who died that I might be saved and forgiven. Thank you for forgiving me and making me clean again. In Jesus's name. Amen. He Fights For Your

Image
'Jehovah will fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.' Exodus 14:14 (ASV) Dear Father Thank you for Your Word. Father Jehovah, when You bring me out, help me to stand still and not to fall or fight or even turn and run. Help me to be still and not to overthink or speak but to remain in You and to hold my peace. Help me to remain composed and confident in thoughts of You alone and Your great salvation that is to come. For I know that You will find a way. Consider Your Angel Armies. And when it does come, to never take Your work for me for granted, but to give You all the praise and all the Glory that You deserve.  In Jesus's name, Amen. Heaven and the Heaven of Heavens

Image
' In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.' Genesis 1:1 (ASV)  Dear Father, Thank You for Your Word. Thank you for how You have described to me how it all began. I can see the magnitude of Your creation with my own eyes. You are magnificent. You are Omnipotent. Your Word says that You created the heavens. The first heaven, our immediate atmosphere. The second heaven, outer space. The third heaven, the heaven of heavens, that's where You are. I will keep earth beneath my feet and I will look up to You. You are Lord God of heaven. You deserve my praise. In Jesus's name. Amen.   Source: 'Drummingthemessagehome', February 11, 2020 blog post.

He Straightens Me Out

Image
'He was teaching in one of the meeting places on the Sabbath. There was a woman present, so twisted and bent over with arthritis that she couldn’t even look up. She had been afflicted with this for eighteen years. When Jesus saw her, he called her over. “Woman, you’re free!” He laid hands on her and suddenly she was standing straight and tall, giving glory to God. The meeting -place president, furious because Jesus had healed on the Sabbath, said to the congregation, “Six days have been defined as work days. Come on one of the six if you want to be healed, but not on the seventh, the Sabbath.” But Jesus shot back, “You frauds! Each Sabbath every one of you regularly unties your cow or donkey from its stall, leads it out for water, and thinks nothing of it. So why isn’t it all right for me to untie this daughter of Abraham and lead her from the stall where Satan has had her tied these eighteen years?” When he put it that way, his critics were left looking quite s

Divine Appointment

So where does that leave you when you criticize a brother? And where does that leave you when you condescend to a sister? I’d say it leaves you looking pretty silly—or worse. Eventually, we’re all going to end up kneeling side by side in the place of judgment, facing God. Your critical and condescending ways aren’t going to improve your position there one bit. Read it for yourself in Scripture: “As I live and breathe,” God says, “every knee will bow before me; Every tongue will tell the honest truth that I and only I am God.” So tend to your knitting. You’ve got your hands full just taking care of your own life before God.' Romans 14:10-12 (MSG) Source: 'Drummingthemessagehome', February 9, 2020 blog post.

Glory Songs

Image
Let the word of the Anointed One richly inhabit your lives. With all wisdom teach, counsel, and instruct one another. Sing the psalms, compose hymns and songs inspired by the Spirit, and keep on singing—sing to God from hearts full and spilling over with thankfulness.' Colossians 3:15 (VOICE) Paul instructs me to sing. The physical and emotional benefits of singing are many. Singing is good for me. Singing improves my memory and helps to diminish my depression. Singing helps me to feel the thoughts and words that I am singing about. The songs help me to connect my mind, body and spirit. Not just any song though, but I am to sing psalms, hymns and songs inspired by the Spirit! I am to sing the Word! I am to let the Words of Christ richly inhabit my life! With all the wisdom of the ages we are to teach one another. In the past, most people could not read or write, so they told their stories through songs. Even now, we teach our children and grandchildren the things

'Victory Songs 'For you are my hiding place; you protect me from trouble. You surround me with songs of victory. Interlude Psalm 32:7 (NLT) You hide me in the days of my trouble. You free me from the guilt that brings on the sorrow and pain that I feel when I remember my sin. You protect me from the wrath to come and the consequences brought on by my rebellion against You. You saved me. You redeemed me. Then, You joined in with the heavenly choir! I could hear Your voice singing the song of victory over me. One more soul saved! Yeshua! One more child forgiven! Eloah Selichot! That was the day I will always remember. That was the song I will never forget! Selah! I am forgiven and my heart fills with joy just knowing it. You are Forgiveness and You are Greater than all of my troubles. In Your House, I can hardly contain it as I behold Your Glory and I notice everyone around me smiling and laughing and lifting up holy hands as well in the overflow of Your Gre

You must go before your king. If you stay silent during this time, deliverance for the Jews will come from somewhere, but you, my child, and all of your father’s family will die. And who knows? Perhaps you have be en made queen for such a time as this.” Esther 4:13-14 (VOICE) At 26% of the population of the House of Representatives, let's continue to pray for the women that we have sent there to represent us. I pray this day that the spirit of Esther will rise up and fill that place and take over the hearts and minds of those women that are serving us in our government. We call forth Kingdom women that will legislate with wisdom and humility. That will speak truth. That will replace personal ambitions with personal desires to serve all those that they are being paid to repr

Standing Firm

Image
' If a house is divided against itself, that house will not be able to stand.' Mark 3:25 (NASB) Any family, large or small, if divided against itself, cannot stand. The disagreements and the discord among its members, if left unchecked, will soon enough bring it down. That is why every member in the family must do their part to adhere to the family unit and its high and lofty goals for a brighter day and better tomorrow. That is why all darkness and hardness of heart has to be exposed and dealt with. No one in the family would ever want it said that they were the reason the family was brought down from a comfortable and prosperous condition, to a very miserable, depressed, gloomy and distressed situation. Anyone can see that a family cannot support the weight of even one sinful and dishonest member. It will fail. It will fall.  For unity of purpose, everyone must contribute to the work that is required to build up a house. Everyone must be standing firm to wi

One Thing

'Here’s the one thing I crave from God, the one thing I seek above all else:   I want the privilege of living with him every moment in his house, finding the sweet loveliness of his face, filled with awe, delighting in his glory and grace.   I want to live my life so close to him that he takes pleasure in my every prayer.' Psalm 27:4 (TPT) Dear Father. No matter where I am, I consider the one thing that I need the most is You. This one thing I desire; to live in Your House forever. This one thing I seek; the loveliness of Your face. This one thing I pray for; to live my life close to You. This one thing is what I take joy in; to find favor and the service of You and to delight in Your Glory and Grace. In Jesus's name. Amen. Source: 'Drummingthemessagehome', February 4, 2020 blog post.
