The Remnant

'The Lord said to Gideon, “The people who are with you are too many for Me to give Midian into their hands, for Israel would become boastful, saying, ‘My own power has delivered me.’  Now therefore come, proclaim in the hearing of the people, saying, ‘Whoever is afraid and trembling, let him return and depart from Mount Gilead.’” So 22,000 people returned, but 10,000 remained.

Then the Lord said to Gideon, “The people are still too many; bring them down to the water and I will test them for you there. Therefore it shall be that he of whom I say to you, ‘This one shall go with you,’ he shall go with you; but everyone of whom I say to you, ‘This one shall not go with you,’ he shall not go.”  So he brought the people down to the water. And the Lord said to Gideon, “You shall separate everyone who laps the water with his tongue as a dog laps, as well as everyone who kneels to drink.”  Now the number of those who lapped, putting their hand to their mouth, was 300 men; but all the rest of the people kneeled to drink water.  The Lord said to Gideon, “I will deliver you with the 300 men who lapped and will give the Midianites into your hands; so let all the other people go, each man to his home.” So the 300 men took the people’s provisions and their trumpets into their hands. And Gideon sent all the other men of Israel, each to his tent, but retained the 300 men; and the camp of Midian was below him in the valley.' Judges 7:2-8(NASB)

Be one of the 300. Be one of the remnant. Faith without works is dead. Walk out your faith. Refuse to retreat due to fear. Drink from cupped hands. Stand and fight your battles. Stay in it unto the end. Stand and see the Glory of the Lord.

Dear Father.

Thank you for Your Word. I will wait. I will watch. I will stand. I will study. I will pray. What ever it takes Lord. Use me. Prepare me for the Lord's work. Equip me for Your Army. I know the hour is near and that He waits behind the door with Michael. I want to see His face. Don't let me be one of the other people that you send home. Let me stand with those who fought the good fight of Faith. Send me into the battle so that I can see Your Glory as You declare the victory! Amen!

You choose the Remnant. The soldiers. The self-controlled. The orderly. Shepherd-boy characteristics. This entire movement is a religious one. This year started with prayer. We prayed to hear Your Heartbeat. You have shown us what breaks Yours. So we asked for forgiveness. It followed up with repentance. No more grumbling or complaining. You are our Redeemer. The greater good and purpose of it all was to turn the hearts of the people of Your nation back to You the God of our fathers. You are our Deliverer. You are making it so that the victory for the deliverance from our enemy will be Yours and Yours alone. We have no power in might and numbers alone. Science cannot keep us safe. It is by Your Grace. You have saved us! Heal Your people Lord. We will praise You.

Just 55 days Lord. Our choices between the parties couldn't be any clearer. We pray for life and our pro-life candidate. Bring them all to term. We pray for freedom and Liberty for all, a swift end to human trafficking and for righteousness to be restored in the entertainment industry.

Bring forth Your Dreamers Lord. With Justice in mind, we take up our instruments of praise, let the trumpets sound as we march courageously into the field for You. We will shout for You with shouts of encouragement to those that went before. Looking back at the number of warriors that were turned away we know that the battle that lies ahead of us will be difficult. The weak and poor are about to overthrow the rich and powerful. But oh, wait! We've got scouts in the enemies camp! Just listen to the enemy now Lord. They look confused and they sound afraid. Could it be that they know what You have in store for them and that their days are numbered? Are they about to give up without a fight or better yet, slay one another in total confusion? Hooray to the Angel Armies! Your Will Lord. Your Way! Onward. Lead us. Show us. Let us take the Day!

In Jesus' name.

Amen.
