Behold the Good

'Behold, how good and how pleasant it is

For brothers to dwell together in unity!

It is like the precious oil [of consecration] poured on the head,

Coming down on the beard,
Even the beard of Aaron,
Coming down upon the edge of his [priestly] robes [consecrating the whole body].

It is like the dew of [Mount] Hermon
Coming down on the hills of Zion;
For there the Lord has commanded the blessing: life forevermore.' Psalm 133 (AMP)

For the thing that I can behold is something that I can see. It is an amazing thing when my God commands it for He will bring it to pass. Wasn't unity even one of the last things that our Lord prayed for, 'That they may be one.'

The image of the oil in church brings about visions of the anointing. Even during the consecration service when the priests were set apart, the oil was used in a type of Holy Spirit anointing. See it being poured onto the head of the one that will be representing God to the people.

And we can read and in our minds eye see it being applied very liberally, flowing down, nothing lacking, from top of the head to the feet, every part of the body is covered and healed. We know that the oils they used were a special combination of ingredients, a God ordained ointment, to help the body with amazing fragrances and healing properties. Both medicinal and spiritual.

And we have faith in doctors today, along with our faith in the Holy Spirit that God will heal us. We see him bringing us together, all like minded brothers and sisters, to dwell in the place where the Lord has commanded the blessing of life eternal. The place of abundance and where the dew is refreshing us and renewing us daily. The place of abundance and love. Love for one another. Unity is just such a place.

And the Church is just such a place where we can come together and be like-minded in love and in peace. Our pastor, God's representative to us and he guides us and shepherd's us through life as he sets the example and keeps us focused on God's Truth of what is good and pleasant and profitable. We, the people, also the saints and anointed ones being called, likewise, to do the good work.

God brings us all together, the rich, the poor, and all different types come together weekly and work together and pray together and we get along. The believers that live in love and peace also live with the God of love and peace with them. What else is more profitable to a man? Holy Spirit we pray for one another and we pray for forgiveness and that we forgive one another and come together in peace and unity. Goodwill is God's will.
