Love Story

Image
' Night after night I’m tossing and turning on my bed of travail. Why did I let him go from me? How my heart now aches for him, but he is nowhere to be found!   So I must rise in search of him, looking throughout the city, seeking until I find him. Even if I have to roam through every street, nothing will keep me from my search. Where is he—my soul’s true love? He is nowhere to be found.   Then I encountered the overseers as they encircled the city. So I asked them, “Have you found him— my heart’s true love?”   Just as I moved past them, I encountered him. I found the one I adore! I caught him and fastened myself to him, refusing to be feeble in my heart again. Now I’ll bring him back to the temple within where I was given new birth— into my innermost parts, the place of my conceiving.'  Song of Solomon 3:1-4 (TPT)   What does your song imply, Solomon? That I am to continue searching for You Lord! That I am to go from church to church in the...

The Rising

Image
' And he who was seated on the throne said, “Behold, I am making all things new.” Also he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.”' Revelation 21:5 (ESV) Write it down. Please write it down. Every word that our Lord Jesus said. So that the generations that follow will know the truth. He is coming again. He is coming again soon. He is the One that will. He is the One that has. He is the One that is seated with the Father on the Throne. He is the One who has ruled over all things from the beginning. He is the giver of rewards. He is the giver of life. He is the One that speaks. He will make all things new. The new creation will rise out of the chaos and it will be glorious. Write it down so that I might find it written here this day and be encouraged. Another mystery. Another hidden treasure. Everything. All things. New. Reveal it to me now Lord. 'Behold, I make all things new.' Amen.   Source: 'Drummingthemessagehome...

Open Door - Greater Thing

Image
' When they got as far west as the borders of Mysia, they repeatedly attempted to go north into the province of Bithynia, but again the Spirit of Jesus would not allow them to enter. ' Acts 16:7 (TP T) How did they know?  Their attempts to go north were stopped. The missionary work that went on during those days was lead by the acts of the Holy Spirit. It was by His activities that they saw success. Warnings were given. He spoke to them in dreams and visions. They were given signs that directed their paths. He still works in us today and in similar ways. He leads us. We are blessed by the works of the Holy Spirit. He leads us through open doors as He closes others. We are not discouraged because God uses us for His Will and leads us to better and greater things! He loves us. He is wise. He cares for us. Amen.  The lessons of the Bible are still true and applicable to us today. Even though the Apostles attempted to go into Bithynia on numerous occasi...

Mixing Oil and Water

Image
' Behold, how good and pleasant it is     when brothers dwell in unity! It is like the precious oil upon the head,      running down upon the beard,   upon the beard of Aaron,      running down on the collar of his robes! It is like the dew of Hermon,      which falls on the mountains of Zion! For there the Lord has commanded the blessing,      life for evermore. Psalm 133:1-3(RSV) Unity? Unity is what God sees and demands of us because He loves us. Uniformity is what men wrongly try to force on one another and try to do to one another and to those things around them. Uniformity leads to chaos. It's a challenge to try to live together in unity when we see the things around us as they really area, different. It's a lot like trying to mix oil and water. There truly are so many things to deal with in life, all of various sizes and shapes and colors and purposes....

Power! I Do Declare

Image
'You will decide on a matter, and it will be established for you      and light will shine on your ways.' Job 22:28 (ESV) Oh that I might have the audacity to believe these words of Eliphaz, even though they were spoken as slander to Job. For Eliphaz assumed wrongly that Job was having his difficulties because he did not know God. This is a dangerous assumption to make. Just because someone is being tried or going through some sort of a test does not make them an enemy of God. I pray that I don't fall into that trap. Nevertheless, I also pray that I might believe with my whole heart that God loves me and is working things out on my behalf and is also lighting my paths.  Amen. Just as David said, so let it be. "Delight thyself in the Lord, and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart; commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass." (Psalm 37:4-5) . What an encouraging word for me this day. Jesus is the Bread of...

The Rehma Word

Image
' Before time itself was measured, the Voice was speaking.      The Voice was and is God.' John 1:1 (VOICE) Jesus is called the Word. It is with words that we speak to one another. It was by His words that He spoke about the Father to us. He was there in the beginning even before time and will be there also to the end of this current age. Rest assured. The Voice that we hear through His Word is the very Voice of God. His Voice will be heard. It is direct. It is sharp. We were made to live by every Word that proceeds from His mouth. Speak to us even now Lord God. Jesus's Voice rings true. He is well qualified for the Work the Father sent Him to do. He was sent to redeem and to save. He is the Light and He is the Life. All things are dependent upon Him. He speaks a specific Word to us and we receive that Word today. Jesus saves. Dear Father.   You are Love. You sent Your only Son to be the Light of the world and the darkness comp...

Faith and Persistence

Image
'He told them a parable, urging them to keep praying and never grow discouraged. The parable went like this:   Jesus: There was a judge living in a certain city. He showed no respect for God or humanity.  In that same city there was a widow. Again and again she kept coming to him seeking justice: “Clear my name from my adversary’s false accusations!”  He paid no attention to her request for a while, but then he said to himself, “I don’t care about what God thinks of me, much less what any mere human thin ks. But this widow is driving me crazy. She’s never going to quit coming to see me unless I hear her case and provide her legal protection.”   Did you catch what this self-assured judge said?  If he can be moved to act justly, won’t God bring justice for His chosen people when they cry to Him day and night? Will He be slow to bring them justic e? Mark My words: God will intervene fast with vindication. But here’s the question: when the Son o...
