Legit Proof

Image
' For whom the Lord loves, he chastens. And He scourges every son that He receives.”' Hebrews 12:6 (RGT). God loves me. Yes He does. He invited me. He welcomed me. He received me. He adopted me. I am chosen in Christ who took on human nature and died to take me in as one of His own family. Because He loves me He will send trials my way. He does not scourge me when it is undeserved or just to inflict pain. No, he deals with me for my own protection, for my own good, when I fail Him in ways that a Good Father would. He chastens me in love. His love for me is everlasting and unchanging. Therefore, He does not neglect me or ignore me. He treats me as if I am a legitimate daughter of His. He cares for me. He watches over me. He says He delights in His children. He restrains and governs me in order to keep me from falling into sin. I am a believer. The Bible is True. Jesus is alive. Here is enough legit proof evidence for me. Dear Father. Thank You for loving

Impelled Speech

That keeps us vigilant, you can be sure. It’s no light thing to know that we’ll all one day stand in that place of Judgment. That’s why we work urgently with everyone we meet to get them ready to face God. God alone knows how well we do this, but I hope you realize how much and deeply we care. We’re not saying this to make ourselves look good to you. We just thought it would make you feel good, proud even, that we’re on your side and not just nice to your face as so many people are. If I acted crazy, I did it for God; if I acted overly serious, I did it for you. Christ’s love has moved me to such extremes. His love has the first and last word in everything we do. Our firm decision is to work from this focused center: One man died for everyone. That puts everyone in the same boat. He included everyone in his death so that everyone could also be included in his life, a resurrection life, a far better life than people ever lived on their own.' 2 Corinthians 5:11-15

Stay the Course

Image
' O Jehovah, thou art my God; I will exalt thee, I will praise thy name; for thou hast done wonderful things, even counsels of old, in faithfulness and truth.' Isaiah 25:1 (ASV) Rise and shine. Praise Jesus for His victories over my enemies. He is Good. He deserves my praises. He deserves my devotion. I must stay focused on Him. Stay the course!  Is it true? Three years today of blogging my devotionals. 1098, but who's counting? God has been faithful to see me through my tasks. I have no reason to complain! Give God the Glory. Through Him I am made strong. His testimonies are true. He provides everything that I need. My needs are met and He comforts me in all my ways. He is Faithful and His counsel has been tested and proven throughout the ages.  Dear Father As I reflect on verse and scripture I am amazed by how deeply You love me. You have proven that in the past and You prove it every day. There is nothing that You wouldn't do for me. Your Ways are True.

Forgiven

' Therefore repent and return, so that your sins may be wiped away, in order that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord;' Acts 3:19 (NASB)  It's a good place to start. A change my mind moment. When I wake up and see in my minds eye what blessings God offers me through His son Jesus Christ. Though as of yet I cannot see Him, as I must have faith to find my Joy. With faith in Him, it is at that moment that I see the writing on the wall, the errors of my past ways, and the benefits of my eternal future, flashed before my eyes, laid out for me so precisely just like a fine garment of grace when I return to God. My God Saves. My God forgives. Then the moments of refreshing come. Feeling guilty? Repent. Find Jesus! Amen. Dear Father, I thank you for Your Word. I thank you for Your son Jesus Christ, my Lord and Savior. For He has died to set me free. Through His Blood my sins are forgiven and washed away to be remembered by You no more. That is

Heart That is Believing

Image
' A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.' Proverbs 17:22 (EHV) The heart of a believer is a cheerful heart. A believer finds joy in every situation. Joy is like medicine. A believer's joy cannot be contained. Whenever a believer is around the joy of the Lord is present. The joy of the Lord is like medicine. Not all situations are great but our God is greater.  Dear Father Thank you for Your Word. Thank you that Your Word renews my joy every morning. I choose to keep my mind fresh and stayed on You and to live under Your Grace. You are Good. Your Love fills my heart to overflowing, so that I might see the plans that You have for me this day. Plans to prosper me. Plans that are rich in abundance of good deeds and plentiful harvest. Plans of health in relationships and mind, body and spirit. Plans that include doing my part to build Your Kingdom. Plans that include loving those with the Love of Christ, that You have placed in

Curses for Disobeying

Image
But if you do not obey the Lord your God and carefully follow all his commands and laws I am giving you today, all these curses will come upon you and stay:   You will be cursed in the city and cursed in the country.   Your basket and your kitchen will be cursed.   Your children will be cursed, as well as your crops; the calves of your herds and the lambs of your flocks will be cursed.   You will be cursed when you go in and when you go out. The Lord will send you curses, confusion, and punishment in everything you do. You will be destroyed and suddenly ruined because you did wrong when you left him. The Lord will give you terrible diseases and destroy you from the land you are going to take.  The Lord will punish you with disease, fever, swelling, heat, lack of rain, plant diseases, and mildew until you die.  The sky above will be like bronze, and the ground below will be like iron.  The Lord will turn the rain into dust and sand, which will fall from the skies until yo

Not Your Desire

Image
'In fact, the law is only a shadow of the good things to come, not the actual realization of those things. It will never be able to make perfect those who continually offer the same sacrifices year after year.  If it could do this, would they not have stopped bringing sacrifices, because the worshippers, once they were cleansed, would no longer have a bad conscience about sins?  Instead, these sacrifices reminded them of their sins year after year.  The fact is that the blood of bulls and goats cannot take away sins.   Therefore when he entered the world, Christ said      Sacrifice and offering you did not desire,        but you prepared a body for me.      You were not pleased      with burnt offerings and sin offerings.      Then I said, “Here I am.      I have come to do your will, God.      In the scroll of the book it is written about me.”   First he said:          Sacrifices and offerings that were offered according to the law,      both burnt offering

Up is Down Times

Image
‘What sorrow for those who say that evil is good and good is evil, that dark is light and light is dark, that bitter is sweet and sweet is bitter.’ Isaiah 5:20.   The Word of God really is like a light unto my feet, it illuminates my thoughts, it justifies my behaviors. The Word of God is good.    The Word of God is good because it reveals the Truth. God is Truth. God warns those that light up the darkness in order to rebel against Him. Darkness is sin. And in darkness sin is used to cover up sin. Lies are told to justify the ungodly; bitter is sweet, dark is light, up is down. Woe to those that condone and therefore justify sin. God will deal with them justly. God is Holy. Justice will be served.   And don't we see it being played out on the intellectual side? Being smart in the ways of the world might gain you some position of power and some stuff, but worldliness is lacking in righteousness and it will never prevail. There is nothing wrong with having nice things, bu

Give Me the Biggest Slice of the Pie

' Speaking to the people, Jesus continued, “Be alert and guard your heart from greed and always wishing for what you don’t have. For your life can never be measured by the amount of things you possess.”' Luke 12:15 (TPT) Dear Father You speak to me through Your Word. Your Word is like a lamp to me. Illuminate in me all that you would have me see and do.  Amen. In Jesus' name. Amen. God, Your Word is True. You speak to me through Your Word stories. Your stories are called parables. This one is called 'The Parable of the Rich Fool'. There are many lessons in the parables. Jesus would not have me perish for lack of knowledge. He says that I need to be warned constantly about the danger of the sin of covetousness. Thou shalt not covet. #10 “You shall not covet your neighbor’s house; you shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, nor his male servant, nor his female servant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything that is your neighbor’s.” Happiness and comfo

I Will Choose to Find Joy

Image
' My flesh and my heart may fail,      but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.' Psalm 73:26 (ESV) My heart is strong when I am in the Lord. He is my strength. He is my rock. He is always there through all of my failures and trials to uplift me. His love for me supports me. His love for me sustains me. In life, He is my portion. I've been saved and grafted in to His family. I am a child of God. Though my heart may fail me His never will. God's Heartbeat is strong, strong enough for the both of us. He is my source of everything that is good. The grace of God, and the presence of the Holy Spirit are my inheritance, my source, my hope. He's all that I will ever need. In the end when my life is over, my Lord will be there to show me that there is no sting, for He himself has removed the sting. As my soul goes to be with Him and enters into His Joy for all eternity, I will rise again with Him in glory and completely incorruptible. He comf

Glorious Tree of Life

Image
' “Anyone with ears to hear must listen to the Spirit and understand what he is saying to the churches. To everyone who is victorious I will give fruit from the tree of life in the paradise of God. ' Revelation 2:7 (NLT) It is a battle, and the Spirit tells us how to overcome. We must choose Christ as our Lord and Savior. The battle is real. We must fight the flesh, resist the Devil, refrain from sin, reject the world. And, if we do these things, then we are victorious and will be able to receive the rewards in heaven. Oh, to one day see that glorious Tree of Life! Amen. Dear Father. Thank you for Your Word. Thank you for Your Spirit that encourages us to overcome. Thank you for Your Son who Saves us from death. Thank you for all that You do to help us overcome the spiritual battles with your Angel Armies and Power. We love you Lord. You help us. You equip us. You make us to be Your strong Christian Soldier overcomers. You teach us each day to be more like You.

Glory in the Clouds

Image
' Look! He comes with the clouds of heaven.      And everyone will see him—      even those who pierced him. And all the nations of the world      will mourn for him. Yes! Amen!' Revelation 1:7 (NLT) Batten down the hatches brothers and sisters. There’s a storm a coming. Judgment is falling on to this old evil world. Literally. And that ain’t no lie. Saints, we’ll be gone, but the rest will wanna be.  The world has never seen anything like it before, except Moses could speak to some of it. The seals, the bowls, the trumpets! All spelled out in horrific detail, god fashion, the book of Revelation. It’s in the Good Book and it's there for a reason. John experienced it all and wrote about it so that we would not be ignorant. God would not have us to perish. He has a plan. He wants us saved and taken up with Jesus before the Tribulation. Who’s with me? Who believes? God is good. He has planned a way to Heaven through His Beloved Son, Jesus, to redeem us from the cu

Seeing is Believing

Image
'Blessed is the one who reads the words of God’s message, and blessed are the people who hear this message and do what is written in it. The time is near when all of this will happen.' Revelation 1:3 (NCV) Jesus Christ is revealed through the Book of Revelation and the whole Bible. Special blessings on those that read the Book. Blessed are those that hear the words of this prophesy.  Reading, hearing and doing is a worthy occupation. None other than Christ can pull it all together. The Church. The government. The people. They all relate to Him. They are all connected to Him. We have freewill to determine by how much we choose to love Him. The ending has been seen and it will come to pass. This world as we know it will end. This prophesy will happen. The time is at hand.  Dear Father. We thank you for Your Word and for giving this vision to John. He says that he was actually there! He saw it and he believed. Hallelujah. We trust You that You have it all worked o

It's Not An Easy Pick

Image
' We, of course, have plenty of wisdom to pass on to you once you get your feet on firm spiritual ground, but it’s not popular wisdom, the fashionable wisdom of high-priced experts that will be out-of-date in a year or so. God’s wisdom is something mysterious that goes deep into the interior of his purposes. You don’t find it lying around on the surface. It’s not the latest message, but more like the oldest—what God determined as the way to bring out his best in us, long before we ever arrived on the scene. The experts of our day haven’t a clue about what this eternal plan is. If they had, they wouldn’t have killed the Master of the God-designed life on a cross. That’s why we have this Scripture text: No one’s ever seen or heard anything like this, Never so much as imagined anything quite like it— What God has arranged for those who love him. But you’ve seen and heard it because God by his Spirit has brought it all out into the open before you. The Spirit, not conte

A Warrant to Believe

Image
By “the Lord” what I mean is the Spirit, and in any heart where the Spirit of the Lord is present, there is liberty.' 2 Corinthians 3:17 (VOICE) Holy Spirit thou art welcome in this place. For wherever the Spirit is there is Life and Liberty. The Spirit brings with it freedom. Joy. Believers, we are blessed. God is gracious. Through the Cross, He has given us a way to be free from the law of sin and death. The veil between us and God has been lifted. The Holy Spirit brings the Light of Christ which illuminates and frees us from former blindness and darkness. The Spirit brings regeneration and sanctification as we are changed and made more like Christ everyday. We are free to walk in the ways of the Lord. Oh how we need thee this very hour Holy Spirit. Issue to us a warrant not as in the world and its laws, but of the gospel to believe. We do believe in You. Thank You Lord! Dear Father We repent to You this day, that we have failed to seek more of You. You know tha

The Day of the Lord Approaches

Image
' not forgetting to gather as a community, as some have forgotten, but encouraging each other, especially as the day of His return approaches.' Hebrews 10:25 (VOICE) Days of future trials are coming and yet are here. Last days. The day of His return approaches. No one knows the hour. So we are told to be even more diligent in our calling. We should be always watching, praying and bringing a word of encouragement to one another through the power of God. For what signs and wonders happen in the House of the Lord! Oh so amazing. The Miraculous. God provides the Fire. The battle is the Lords. We are told not to fret but only to enjoy the ride as we thank Him. So as I pray I want to thank you Lord. I am totally devoted to You. Equip me to preach the gospel. Now is the time and I will not forget my mission. As I arise I will not forget to put on my Full Armor of God. I will cling to your Bible. I am committed to carry it with me. I will hold it up as a sword in the town

A Glorious Destiny

Image
' I am convinced that any suffering we endure is less than nothing compared to the magnitude of glory that is about to be unveiled within us .' Romans 8:18 (TPT) For me, it's not permanent, it's just a prickly patch I'm going through. I did not choose to decorate with cactus, they were handed down to me from my grandmother. No one says I have to keep them, but then again, their flowers are spectacular. Don't judge. Don't you know that I am the oldest, and that's just an excuse for me, but it does make me feel like it's one of my duties. I know where they are, I am the one that put them there, but that doesn't keep me from backing into them from time to time. Funny how life is like that. Same with sin. Ouch! All the pain in my life is a result of sin and its influences on me. Some of the things that I have chosen to keep and hold on to have not always been good for me. Yet I know Holy Spirit will help me to deal with them in time. T

He Was Tempted

Image
' I obey my Father, so that everyone in the world might know that I love him. It is time for us to go now.' John 14:31 (CEV) What a great way to start the week. I will declare my love to the Father. What better way to say it than to demonstrate my love for Him by doing what He has told me to do. I read His Word. I speak to Him through prayer. I do what He tells me to do.  The evidence is clear. I have to tell no one. Anyone can see that I love Him because I obey Him. He was tempted yet knew no sin. He died for me. He is worthy of my love and affections. I will copy His example of Love and obedience to the Father. Dear Father Thank you for the example of Love that you have given me through Your Son Jesus Christ. Thank you that He is my perfect example, by having victory over the enemy, living free from sin and conquering death. He is my advocate. I will worship Him. Teach me Your ways Lord. I love you Father and choose to follow Christ's example to obey You. In

She Inquired of the Lord

Image
' “But what did he do?” they asked. “How did he heal you?”' John 9:26 NLT How excited I get when I read God's Word. The entire 9th chapter of John is so amazing. The chapter tells of how Jesus heals a man born blind. This young man was blessed with a miracle healing, and then you immediately see the religious leaders of the day, trying to discredit the miracle, trying to trip up the young man, trying to catch Jesus in some kind of magic or breaking sabbath laws.   To be expected. But why? Simply put. Why can't we accept God's Grace and rejoice with those that are healed? Why do we have to know every detail, and try to figure out the exact steps or maybe the lack thereof? Here we are at the crossroads between the spirit and the flesh. The flesh, always looking away from God and to expose the negative, the Spirit only working with Jesus  and bringing us closer to Him. But what did he do? The specifics please. Inquiring minds need to know. Can we

Mountain of Evidence

Image
'T his is a vision that Isaiah son of Amoz saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem :   In the last days, the mountain of the Lord ’s house      will be the highest of all—      the most important place on earth. It will be raised above the other hills,      and people from all over the world will stream there to worship.     People from many nations will come and say, “Come, let us go up to the mountain of the Lord ,      to the house of Jacob’s God. There he will teach us his ways,      and we will walk in his paths.” For the Lord ’s teaching will go out from Zion;      his word will go out from Jerusalem.     The Lord will mediate between nations      and will settle international disputes. They will hammer their swords into plowshares      and their spears into pruning hooks. Nation will no longer fight against nation,      nor train for war anymore.' Isaiah 2:1-4 (NLT) There is a mountain of evidence that our God Reigns! Both today and forever. This prophesy in Isaiah will c
