Starry, Starry Night

' For God, who said, “Light shall shine out of darkness,” is the One who has shone in our hearts to give the Light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ.' 2 Corinthians 4:6 (NASB)

It's the same power that told the light to shine out of darkness that illuminates the mind of the Christian. As the moon reflects the light of the sun at night, so be it like the heart of a Christian to reflects the glory of God in the face of His Son.

A heart, once as dark as night. The light, once created from nothing. Night at once changed to day. Hearts on fire for Glory.

Dear Father
Illuminate our minds with the knowledge of You. Nothing more. Nothing less. Teach us Your ways Lord. Show us the depths of our lost souls and the chaos of our lives without You. Warm our hearts to desire more of You. Open our eyes to see that what we really need in our lives is more of the kind of things that Christ can give. Love. Shine Your light onto the mysteries of the gospel.

We love You Lord. Heal this land Lord. Forgive us where we have failed You. We have strayed. Fallen. Wandered away. Foolishly. We are living with the effects of pride. Restore once more your light to this dry and thirsty people. We long for more of You. We thank You for Your Word. Light our path so that we can find You. Lead us out of the darkness. Save us Lord. Make us Your people, so that we might worship You as our One True Living God.
In Jesus name.
Amen.
