Build Your Kingdom Here
'People will not say, ‘Look, here it is!’ or, ‘There it is!’ because God’s kingdom is within you.”' Luke 17:21 (NCV)
Least we forget our past. For once these mysteries were taught openly and the stories were handed down to our children from generation to generation much more so than they are today. Even so, the destination to One So Great cannot be found on any map. One cannot know the physical direction to that Heavenly Place or to be able to ask for an audience with the Master and to be sent.
Behold, the Kingdom of God is within you, it lives in the hearts of His elect! It is of a spiritual nature and it touches those lives that are drawn to it with righteousness and peace and joy that the Holy Spirit allows. Even though those that live it, often do good works, grace cannot be pointed at as here or there for it escapes the observation in the natural as works of grace are internal. Jesus reigns over an estate of extreme value and wealth. His rule is complete as to the Law which has dominion over the passions bringing even our thoughts into captivity and under obedience to Him.
The Messiah has come. He is precious. It is true, even though there are many contrary thoughts and opinions about Him. Jesus lives. Many still choose to believe and come to know Him as Lord. It takes faith. For the believer He saves them and He comes to them to rule over their hearts and lives and yet, it seems a mystery as to why some may oppose Him and may not have seen to it to believe in Him. He is Lord. Do not be deceived.
He is Lord. Currently, there is no big visible kingdom but one exists. Currently, there is no visible king on the throne but that is where He sits. Currently, no one on earth is announcing when He enters or exists a room. He is not bound by space or time. Currently, there is no big 'Jesus Saves' sign flashing in neon lights, at the doors of His Church, such as the world would do, if they had such a great a thing as this to offer. His Church is more discreet.
His Kingdom is not of this world. It's Spiritual and it's Supernatural. It exists and it is in the midst among us. It is not within everyone for some do oppose it, but it is everywhere. Jesus lives and one great day every knee will bow and every tongue shall confess that He is Lord when He returns to claim it all. How do I know? I confess. He lives in me.
Jesus lives and one day He shall come with Glory to set up His Kingdom on earth and to judge both the quick and the dead for the deeds that they have done. Jesus come. Come and build Your Kingdom here.
Dear Father. Forgive me when I fail You. Who am I to think that I could even come close to understanding Your Ways. Thank You for loving me. Thank You for living in me. Thank You for saving me. Thanks for putting the desire to know You more inside of me. Save them all Lord. Your Kingdom come Your Will be done on earth as it is in heaven. In Jesus's name. Amen.
