The Rebel

Dear Father,
Search my heart. Reveal in me what is going on with the world today. Help me to see what You see. Take away all my addictions to hateful speech. Leave me with healthy desires. Restore in me the natural love for what is good and right. Holy Spirit kindle that fire in me for souls yet again. Father, forgive me of my sins and of my apathy towards it all. 

Strengthen our hearts to the things that You desire and destroy the apostasy that has taken over the hearts of some of Your Church family today. Father, forgive us for we don't know what we are doing. We have been deceived. We've fallen asleep. We believed the lie. We are miserable in this lukewarm state. Why can't we be more like You? 
We hear your voice. We heed Your counsel. Our shopping lists contain gold, white linen and eye salve. We need You Holy Spirit. Fill us with Your Truth and Your Love for righteousness. Forgive us when we think we know more than You. Return us to where You need us to be. Restored. Regaining self-control. Absolutely. 100%. Sold out Christians. Sold out to only You. Followers. Following Your Will and Your Way, and not looking and acting so much like the world, the rebel, the destructive son, or the evil one..
 
Lord, bind the enemy during this election. Your will be done.

Thank You Lord. In Jesus's name.
Amen.

Lessons from the Bible can reassure us of God's love for us and they show us that His ways are good and so much higher than our own. How powerful. In Chapter three, the evil ideas of Haman, to have all the Jews exterminated, had been decreed by the king, and the money set aside in an account for the diabolical deeds and the date was set on the calendar for the bloodshed! That part is so incredible, that one man was given that much power. Just imagine it if you were a Jew. The date for the destruction of your entire race was set and the preparations to follow through with it were being made. Thankfully, our God is greater. Our God is able.
