Building the Case for Christ - Prophesy #2

'Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that I will raise unto David a righteous Branch, and a King shall reign and prosper, and shall execute judgment and justice in the earth.'Jeremiah 23:5 (KJV)

This prophecy was fulfilled 645 years later when Matthew documented the genealogy of Jesus the Messiah. Documented this day for our remembrance. Lest we forget who we are and from where it is that we came. We are God's sons and daughters. He calls us to live righteous lives and to pray.

We pray.

Dear Father.

We pray for our President this day, that he shall rule and reign and prosper under the rules and principles of this great nation. We pray for the election, only eighteen days from today. May You, Lord continue in the same pattern that You have established, to execute judgment and justice in the earth through those that You place in positions of power. Just as Your name is 'The Lord is our righteousness' we pray that only honest men and women with values and integrity be placed in those positions. We pray for this nation. Keep her people and their eyes always focused on You Lord.

In the name of Jesus,

Amen.

11 And Josias begat Jechonias and his brethren, about the time they were carried away to Babylon:
12 And after they were brought to Babylon, Jechonias begat Salathiel; and Salathiel begat Zorobabel;
13 And Zorobabel begat Abiud; and Abiud begat Eliakim; and Eliakim begat Azor;
14 And Azor begat Sadoc; and Sadoc begat Achim; and Achim begat Eliud;
15 And Eliud begat Eleazar; and Eleazar begat Matthan; and Matthan begat Jacob;
16 And Jacob begat Joseph the husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus, who is called Christ.' Matthew 1:1-16 (KJV)

Sending Out Invitations to the Concert

'We are confident that God is able to orchestrate everything to work toward something good and beautiful when we love Him and accept His invitation to live according to His plan. Lessons from the Bible can reassure us of God's love for us and they show us that His ways are good and so much higher than our own. How powerful. In Chapter three, the evil ideas of Haman, to have all the Jews exterminated, had been decreed by the king, and the money set aside in an account for the diabolical deeds and the date was set on the calendar for the bloodshed! That part is so incredible, that one man was given that much power. Just imagine it if you were a Jew. The date for the destruction of your entire race was set and the preparations to follow through with it were being made. Thankfully, our God is greater. Our God is able.
