The Great Exchange

'For God made Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering for our sin, so that we could be made right with God through Christ.' 2 Cohians 5:21 (NLT)

 And today is such a great day! Christmas Day! The best day of gift giving. The day that we Love! The Spirit is upon us!  And then there is tomorrow. The day that we hate. The day of long lines and the not so great day that gift exchanges begin. The day we exchange the not quite so perfect gift for something else.

If you got something that doesn't fit, and you don't get the spiritual connection to this most natural of occurrences, then, please don't miss this. No one is perfect except the Perfect One. His name is Jesus. Know that Jesus was born for a reason. He is the reason for this season. He fits perfectly. This season of giving is tied to the fact that God is the best gift giver ever. He gave us His very own Son.

Isaiah declares that the Government will be on His shoulders!  God knows us all so well and He knew just what we needed. So, He fixed the Fall and exchanged the punishment that we all deserve because of our sin with The Perfect One that was Greater and who never sinned. Our sins fell upon Him and He will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Almighty Father, Prince of Peace. His name is Jesus. Thank You Father, Son and Holy Ghost. Amen.

Lessons from the Bible can reassure us of God's love for us and they show us that His ways are good and so much higher than our own. How powerful. In Chapter three, the evil ideas of Haman, to have all the Jews exterminated, had been decreed by the king, and the money set aside in an account for the diabolical deeds and the date was set on the calendar for the bloodshed! That part is so incredible, that one man was given that much power. Just imagine it if you were a Jew. The date for the destruction of your entire race was set and the preparations to follow through with it were being made. Thankfully, our God is greater. Our God is able.
