Don't you hate it when parts wear out and conveniences don't work anymore? Same. As of Monday, the water purification system and ice maker on my refrigerator quit working. My well equipped for anything husband took on the task of fixer upper yesterday. He loves me. His first question was, 'Could it be the filter'? I had just changed it a few months back and the quality indicator light was still green. No it can't be that. So, he pulled the machine out away from the wall as to be able to get to the back of the monstrosity.Tools in hand he tested the water pressure, and checked the power to the unit. Many leaks and messes later he determined both were fine. So he moved to the front of the unit. After removing the filter, he tested the water and unfilter

' Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.' Psalm 119:105 (ES V) What a dark place the world would be without the Word of God. The world is a dark place and I must walk through it with faith. I must live by faith and not by sight. God in His mercy has given me Faith. Faith and the Word. Faith is the force that God has give me to guide me. Faith comes from hearing the Word. The Word is like a lamp, a light, a candle, the Holy Spirit provides the oil.  The Holy Spirit provides the fuel for the lamp. This lamp at my feet lights my path. Never too bright in that it illuminates everything, but just enough for the next step. So that I might see and not trip. So that I might not stumble and fall. So that I might not wander off. So that I might trust and not fear. So that I might feel safe in that God is always with me, through each and every day, right beside me and guiding me through His Way.  Word of God be my guide. ' Ephesians 5:11-13 (GNV) The unfruitful works of darkness, such as those acts that are shameful and remorse producing, we are to have nothing to do with. No fellowship. But wait, it is not a passive attitude that we are to take, as in other areas of life, but this requires more aggressive behavior on our part when we see it. We are to expose those works of darkness that bring down the wrath of God. We are to lift up a testimony to shine the light on those evil deeds. For it is the Light of Christ that exposes and brings things out in the open to be cleansed and dealt with. We are to be that light. Sin leads to destruction. Sin needs to be exposed! I am to show my Christian brothers and sisters mutual respect.  We are all to recognize each others rights and it is my obligation to serve out of love and fearful respect for God. Reverence? My how that goes against what the world teaches. Where has a healthy dose of fear of the Lord gone? God is Holy. My will must not be surrendered to any person other than the Holy Spirit. The Spirit makes it possible for me to submit to another in humility according to God's Will. Often what I want to do for God goes against what my flesh demands. So I must become that living and holy sacrifice, the kind that He will find acceptable, and that I read about in His Word of Truth. It's God's Will and not my own. Following His Will is not a sign of weakness. No. Following His Will is a sign of wisdom. The wise do w

'Everyone became silent and listened carefully as Paul and Barnabas shared with the council at length about the signs and wonders and miracles God had worked through them while ministering to the non-Jewish people.' Acts 15:12 (TPT)     God speaks to me in more ways than I can count. I am a God chaser but when I'm in the flesh it is so hard to hear Him. Too many distractions. In fact, most of what I accomplish in the flesh is for me and God is never impressed by any of it. He alone wants the glory. So, in spite of my desires to do good and finding myself in the same old wilderness time and time again I am finally beginning to see what put me there. His love and my lack of faith. Yep, His love. For He loves me too much to leave me in my current state.     God loves me. This is where I must begin. That is where I see myself and where my lack of faith and my understanding show me just how much I need Him. That is when I see Him in all of His glory and His righte

Help us to remain silent when our hearts are broken for You and we are tempted to tell them we are finished. We are done. There is no chance of reconciliation. We will never speak to them again. There are limits Lord. There are points in the chain when we have to protect our own selves first. This is it Lord. Jeremiah 15:16 (ESV) For those words that I am to share come directly from God. These specific words were heaven sent. I welcome them and I receive them just as if they were food. Food for a hungry soul. Every Word comes directly from God. I savor them and chew on every bite. I swallow them and digest them in my mind all day long. Mixed with faith, these words that build my faith become food for my soul and they bring joy to my heart. They refresh me because I know that He has sent them to me, and that He is in it. Hearing the Words of the Gospel are like finding a treasure for I know that God speaks directly to me. He even knows my name. His Words are personal and they are true. He offers me hope through His doctrines of grace, salvation, pardon, peace and righteousness through which Christ

“Be prepared for action at a moment’s notice.   Be like the servants who anticipate their master’s return from a wedding celebration. Jeremiah 17:9 (KJ21) Doesn't a lack of experience and timidity cause fear? We see it. We know it.  But relief comes in knowing that the Lord is always near. Fear not! God spoke directly to the prophet with these encouraging words. God said, 'Do not fear the face of man'. The prophet was given a difficult message to hear and was told to deliver it to the people directly. Some of those faces he was about to speak God's Word to may have been the very faces of his adversaries. Just as in life, we must take the good with the bad. Fierce looks and outrageous minds may be awaiting us during this season.  Offense may be taken by some at the harsh Word of God that is about to be spoken. Conversions without Christ is like rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic. Dear Father  We pray for Kingdom come. We pray for conversions that include Christ. The Christ that we need to know is the Christ of the Bible. We need to know You personally Lord. We need to know you as our Lord and Savior. Lord and Savior, God. The time has come. We need to know that our confession is not the same thing as conversion.  Show us truth. Redeem the time. Repentance without Christ is like rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic. Show us now that You are our eternal Lord and Savior. Restore this nation back to you. Touch us with your mighty Right Hand. Time is short. Not just moving things around in the natural but make it permanent in the spirit. Bind evil. Release your Holy Spirit. Thank you Lord. We pray for this

The man and woman of God. No one would do it better than the Holy Spirit. To learn the ways of God one must first know the Holy Scriptures. Children are the best age to learn. The Scriptures are full of truth and the best guide we can follow for eternal life lessons.  Dear Father Thank you for the Word. We seek you. We seek the things that are lost and look to things that will teach us in the ways of eternal life. We need Jesus. We are open to correction and training in righteousness. We look to bring up our children in the discipline and instruction of the Lord. Please equip us for every good work.   The change could be for me. The change could be today. Your ways are true. You make me brand new. Forgive me of my sins. Heal me.

'Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that I will raise unto David a righteous Branch, and a King shall reign and prosper, and shall execute judgment and justice in the earth.'Jeremiah 23:5 (KJV) This prophecy was fulfilled 645 years later when Matthew documented the genealogy of Jesus the Messiah. Documented this day for our remembrance. Lest we forget who we are and from where it is that we came. We are God's sons and daughters. He calls us to live righteous lives and to pray. We pray. Absolutely where I want to be. Where am I?  That's a good question. One that one should ask oneself as a sort of mental checkup. I've noticed that my physical address may change, but that hasn't changed what is important. I am in transition.  I've noticed that this year has brought a lot of changes to where I am allowed to go. Doors opening and doors closed. I've learned one lesson, stay grounded. I am straight. I am balanced. I am a teacher. I am a student. I am constantly seeking His approval by staying in His Word and staying true to His principles. Where I am determines who I spend my time with. I have everyone that I love and that is important to me so very close by. I am blessed. I am

Then your covenant with death will be annulled,      and your agreement with Sheol will not stand; when the overwhelming scourge passes through      you will be beaten down by it.' Only the Holy Ghost can bring the wisdom, strength and holiness that we seek. No one has the power to face every danger or live under his own protection without the righteous Hand of God. Living life more completely and walking in the Spirit with His promises and purposes on full display. Glory! Glory to the Father. Great things He has done! How can this be?
