Let the Feast Begin
'Get rid of all the old yeast; then you’ll become new dough, just as you are already a people without sin’s leavening influence. You see, the Anointed One is our Passover lamb; He has been sacrificed for us. So let the real feast begin. Get rid of all the old yeast, the yeast of hatred and evil. Throw it out so we can feast on the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.' 1 Corinthians 5:7-8 (VOICE)
Who among you can tolerate sin? It is the spirit in the Church that tolerates sin that is to be purged so that we may become that for we are to be, unleavened. For Christ was wounded for our transgressions. He was bruised for our iniquities. The chastisement of our peace fell upon Him. With His stripes we are healed. Amen.
When we begin to think that we've got it all figured out, there's cause to worry. Pride raises her ugly head. Spiritual pride soon enough creeps in. False doctrines and their false teachers are not to be tolerated. That's when we say 'Give us new hearts Lord'. Keep us in Christ and our deeds holy. Shake out the chaff among us. Keep the fires of righteousness burning. We are nothing without You Lord.
Who can live even a day without faith? Our deeds are powerless and ineffective without Jesus and His Holiness. We need the Bread of Life to sustain us. Old yeast be gone! Let the real feast of righteousness begin.
Dear Father. You are our King. We honor You, Lord Jesus. Fear of judgement and death pass over us this day. Sin is a heavy weight and a burden, the cross which You carried for me. Clean us up Lord. Christ be alive in us. You are our Bread of Life. Holy Spirit, reveal to us if there be any sin of offense and unforgiveness in us that separates us from You. Remove the old yeast of malice and evil and place in us a new heart, with Christ as our Lord, and let the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth reign in us. It is Your Will. So that we might serve You better. That You should reign. That You should reign in us. In Jesus's name. Amen.
