Game Plan: Prepare; Allow; Quote; Unite

'Be prepared. You’re up against far more than you can handle on your own. Take all the help you can get, every weapon God has issued, so that when it’s all over but the shouting you’ll still be on your feet. Truth, righteousness, peace, faith, and salvation are more than words. Learn how to apply them. You’ll need them throughout your life. God’s Word is an indispensable weapon. In the same way, prayer is essential in this ongoing warfare. Pray hard and long. Pray for your brothers and sisters. Keep your eyes open. Keep each other’s spirits up so that no one falls behind or drops out.' Ephesians 6:16-18 (MSG)

We know there is an enemy, an evil force in the spiritual realm which desires to kill, steal and destroy us. Thankfully, we can relax in the knowing that we are loved by God and He has not left us without a plan for life's path. That plan includes four areas we should consider:

Be prepared before the attacks come.

Spend time in the Word to understand the rules of the game and the weapons that are available for us to use.

Allow the Holy Spirit to teach us and obey God by following His teachings.

Use your shield of faith - it is impenetrable and the size of a door -to extinguish all the fiery darts.

Speak the truth to the enemy, recognize and reject the demonic lies by quoting God's Word back to him when the assaults come both day and night.

The enemy uses old tactics to divide and conquer, so when we stand as one united body we display the glory and the power of God. Shield beside shield, there is strength in numbers and the force behind the shield will cause the enemy to flee.

Pray for each other, we are all God's children, important to each other and necessary for the success of all. There are more things that we believe and agree on than things that divide us. There are more of us than those with them. Take your place in the church and strengthen the hedge of protection around the family.
