Home Furnishings

Image
' Wisdom is required to build a house;   understanding is necessary to make it secure.   Knowledge is needed  to furnish  all the rooms   and fill them with beautiful treasures.' Proverbs 24:3-4 (VOICE) My prayer of understanding: If the house is a metaphor to represent my life, then in all things relating to my life I need to rely on God to build and maintain it. God is wisdom and He is Good. My life should have Christ as its foundation. A foundation that God has laid for me that starts with Christ will prove to be a solid and secure one. Knowledge is key and I must find it. Christ is the living God and Solid Rock that instructs me in all things and fills my soul with grace and comforts my spirit. For it is by prudence that I am a child of God and I serve Him and I fear Him. He has plans for my life and He wants the very best for me. He assists me in all things and I am blessed with many things for God and His Holy Spirit is ever present in my life. Knowledge

Neck, Necklace and God

'Don’t ever forget kindness and truth. Wear them like a necklace. Write them on your heart as if on a tablet. Then you will be respected and will please both God and people.' Proverbs 3:3-4 (NCV) 'Jesus answered, “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.' This is the first and most important command. And the second command is like the first: ‘Love your neighbor as you love yourself.’ All the law and the writings of the prophets depend on these two commands.” Matthew 22:37-40 (NCV) My heart's desire should be to have the inward kind of love and truth that Jesus has for me and to express it outwardly through my actions of good deeds towards others. I am to be quick to forgive them of their offenses. I am to be tenderhearted and sympathetic towards their cause. God first loved me, so I am to love Him with everything I've got and then I am to go and do likewise. God loves us so much we surely ought to love

The Truth is Alive

'A soothing tongue is a tree of life, but a deceitful tongue breaks the spirit.' Proverbs 15:4 (GW) Take a moment to tell someone the truth about Christ today and watch what you will set loose in that person. Watch what it will do to your own self as well. Like the preacher when he delivers a message of good news at church, the song on his lips can fill a person's head with visions of a beautiful future and their heart with hope. Hearing the wholesome and sound words of Jesus spoken through the lips of someone that knows Him, is like applying healing salve to a wounded soul. Truth is like that. The soothing tongue of righteousness is like a tree that brings forth its delightful fruit of peace to heal us and to refresh us. Peaceful words that are given in love do not condemn us but instead offers us new life as only Jesus can, through the atonement that is bought with the blood of the Savior. Not so for the lying tongue of deceit, which is a perversion that
